Her warm breath smoked from her mouth and remain stagnant in the air in front of her. It must be close to freezing... she thought to herself as she watched the small cloud of vapor dissappear after some time. The thought of it being so cold only made it feel moreso, and she hugged herself tighter through her winter coat, which really wasn't that wintery in the first place. She began to shake very lightly. It was as though the heat from her body was constantly escaping her.
She had disgarded her sandals at the top of the dune and carried them in her hands, for fear of not being able to find them again in the dark. She began to regret having taken them off, for the sand seemed just as frigidly welcoming as the air, but she really did not want to get her shoes all sandy, so she decided to simply deal with it.
It was getting close to midnight, she assumed, a late time for her to be out, but it seemed too long since she had simply wandered along this beach, for the sake of only hearing the waves crash along the wet sand and feeling the water underneath her feet. It was too cold to dip her feet in the water that night...the last thing she wanted was to make herself sick.
She ceased walking for a moment, for the lightest of breezes came to play with her hair --as well as make her colder. A few tears formed in her windblown eyes, yet she kept her gaze focused toward the sky as the stars and the thin crescent that was the moon made themselves bright up above.

Shane paused along the shore to stretch his calves. Every night he would go for a long jog down the shore from his castle and back. It helped him get fresh air and clear his head…not to mention keep his sexy body in shape ! Once his calves were nicely stretched he set off on his jog again, only to stop when he saw a figure walking along the shore. He could tell that she was a female by her frame and that she was a human by her scent. She had the strong sweet smell of warm blood that rushed beneath human flesh. Shane licked his lips at the thought. He wasn’t that vampire that drank blood on a regular basis, but the idea of some on his lips made him shiver. Looking up at the girl, he grinned. He didn’t want to kill her. He just wanted to have a little fun. One of the best things about being a vampire was the ability to be light on his feet. Using that, he tiptoed over behind her and lowered his mouth right below her ear, whispering, “You should be careful. You never know who’s watching you…” OoC: After all the time it took me to write this it’s still crap. Sorry…

ooc: haha...not crap ...haha...what vampire doesn't have a sexy body after all huh? Her gaze had shifted toward the ground when she heard such a very light sound behind her that she thought the wind was fooling her ears. She took yet another chilling breath before an unwelcome voice made itself present behind her.
Startled, as she so easily was, her body whipped around and turned pale at the sight of an unfamiliar face....and a frightening one at that. She almost tripped over her own foot, rendered unstable because of the sand, but managed to catch herself at the last moment "Oh...you mean a creep like you?" her paleness suddenly was replaced by a bright red tint to her cheeks as she blurted the words out. She hadn't intended to sound so mean...so insulting. It seemed adrenaline really could do anything to a human when frightened. She had to admit however, that his words, not to mention the way he had uttered them were nothing of comfort to her --which is why she didn't apologize for her rudeness.
She straightened up, trying to make herself slightly more presentable, and although she didn't want to, she forced herself to look at his face, even though it was masked in the darkness. But even with the absence of light, she felt as though something was not right. A shiver went up her spine. Her voice now seemed more controlled and at peace, although her mind was so far from that "It's impolite to come up behind someone like that...Do I even know you?"

The grin on Shane’s face spread even wider then ever as the girl turned around to face him. He could tell that she was scared and he thrived off of that. He watched silently as she tripped over herself. This girl was very entertaining. “Creep?” He laughed at that. “No, Love. I’m the man from your nightmares.”
Shane circled around her once then stopped in front her. “Being polite is the least of my concerns. What I’m more concerned with is why you’re out here all alone.” He stepped closed to her and lowered his voice. “It could be dangerous.” Shane stepped under the moonlight so she could get a good look at him. He wanted her to remember his face. Not that she could ever forget it. Flashing his million dollar smile he said, “You don’t know me baby, but you want to, and I just might let you. Everyone does.”
He was a sweet guy at heart, but being a jerk was much more fun sometimes. It was almost as if he had a split personality and the nice Shane was on vacation somewhere. Didn’t matter though. This girl probably wouldn’t last long enough to get to know the nice Shane. “I’m quite curious as to who you are though…” He stood in front her wearing black short and a black hoodie with a plain red t-shirt underneath. It was his signature style. He crossed his arms, still smiling, waiting for a response.

Her anger returned. SHe hated those pet names....hated them so much. Perhaps it was because she had heard them so many times before. But whatever the reason, it sent a shiver of disgust through her spine and in a moment of fury, she slapped him across the face with her seemingly fragile white hand. But by the strength of the blow --for a pathetic human girl needless to say-- would lead anyone to believe that she was perhaps not as fragile as she seemed.
It was only after she had done this that she noticed his face clear in the moonlight. She carefully examined his eyes and seemingly pale complexion. And then he smiled again. It donned on her..the teeth. How couldn't she have noticed before? A vampire... the thought made her regret what she had said and done immediately. The fury had dissipated in only an instant, and now she was petrified.
"Well I'm sorry to dissapoint you" she tried to hide the tremble in her voice, without success "But i really don't want to get to know you...and I'm sure you don't care to get to know me either." She figured out what he wanted, and now she was attempting to devise a plan for her escape. Run? He would surely catch her. Scream? Nobody to hear her. Beg? No way. Deal with whatever was going to happen? For now, that was all she could think of...although the thought of running was very close behind in the race.
She took a few steps back, as if readying herself for the sprint of her life. "Are you going to kill me?" stupid question, but hey, it couldnt hurt to ask...or could it? Had she just sentenced herself to death in admitting that she understood?

Shane hadn’t realized what was coming. He rubbed the side of his face where he was hit and the stinging had turned into a dull ache. “Wow, wasn’t expecting that.” He saw the fear overcome her face as she looked at him. He almost wanted to laugh. She went from fiery to terrified in a second. Was he really that scary?
“But I guess I deserved it. I tend to come on a bit strong.” As she took a few steps back Shane took a few steps forward. “Why would I wanna kill you? That would ruin all my fun.” He took one more step closer. “I mean, our fun.” The closer he got to her the more he realized how attractive she was and strong the scent of her blood was.
“Trust me, I don’t wanna hurt you baby.” He was really close to her now and brought his hand up to her cheek. “Judging by the look on your face, I’m assuming that you know what I am. I’m a vampire and I don’t want you to be afraid of me.” Shane lowered his voice to a whisper. “Don’t you wanna be like me, baby? I will live to be hundreds of years old. I’m telepathic and telekinetic. I have the strength to crush stone with my fists.” Shane placed his finger under her chin and stared into her eyes. “I have the power to allure and charm whomever I please.”
Shane searched inside her by looking into her eyes. “What’s your life like Love?”
OoC: man that was awful. I can’t believe I wrote that. I just don’t know where to take this. I mean, I want Shane to like Capucine, but he’s being an ass.

ooc: haha, I love it! I love it when vamps are asses....it's so much fun!! Trust me, I'm usually the first one on a site to have a vamp char, i guess I'm being wierd this time (don't have a vamp char....yet) "Miserable right now" she was obviously terrified of him, but something within her heart prevented her from running away. It couldn't very well be pride. Could it be courage? She couldn't very well imagine it...Cj, courageous. Yea right. But she just couldn't let herself be pushed around by this guy. What he was saying...the pet names, the arrogance. It was driving her crazy!! (and not in the good way)
"I know what you are...And I'm sorry, but you are not charming me" her skin tingled at his cold touch. He was being so gentle, and although it felt nice, she hated it. She lifted her chin and gulped down, her heart now pouding in her chest harder than she had ever felt it beat.
Perhaps she should have felt comforted by the fact that he wasn't going to kill her. But truthfully, it offered her no relief, whether it was because of her disbelief of his words, or the simple statistical impossibility to escape this situation intact. It was so strange...although she was terrified, but felt witty and daring all at once, she couldn't decide whether to close her eyes as he looked at her or stare right back at him. She found herself keeping her eyes open, suprisingly without much difficulty.
"So what do you want with me?

The fact that she didn’t run away kind of intrigued him. “Don’t be so sure. I’ve charmed the stubbornest of women. But we’ll get back to that later. What I really want is to get know you.” He anticipated disbelief. “Seriously.” He wanted to be real with her now. What did he have to lose?
“All the girls that I meet that aren’t vampires leave as soon as they find out what I am. All I want is for you to talk to me for a little bit so that I can prove to you that I’m not the ass that I’ve been coming off as since I first saw you. Yeah, I’m a vampire, but that doesn’t mean I’m a jerk…all the time.”
He knew that she was afraid and that she probably wouldn’t trust him, but he hoped to change that. “You can’t run from me so you might as well just talk to me. Like, what’s your name and why are you out here all alone? You looked kinda sad when I came up to you before.”
OoC: AHHHHHHH!!! What's wrong with me?

She pulled her head away finally. There was no way he had faked his attitude before this and now revealed his true nature as a 'nice' guy. No, she couldn't believe it. She gulped down again, her heart slowing slightly as she parted from his touch, but still beating faster than the normal human beat.
"So you expect me to believe that this isn't all you want?" she brought a hand to her neck and pushed away her curly hair, exposing her skin only for a second before hiding it once again, for fear of giving him the idea that she was ok with him bitting her. Far from, the idea terrified her.
"And if you're not a jerk all the time, why...." she couldn't even express her entire thought. He sure was strange. But it was probably just a trick. Don't let yourself be pulled into his game Cap. "Cj" she stated her name as if it really didn't matter. "And why I'm here is none of you're business."

When she pulled away from him, he frowned playfully. “Be nice. I know you don’t wanna believe me, but you’ll get over it in time.” He flashed that million dollar smile again, fangs shining in the moonlight. Shane’s eyes were drawn to her neck when she pulled her hair away, but a neck like hers was good for more than blood.
“If I’m not a jerk all the time, why am I being a jerk now. That’s easy. I treat all the girls I like like that.” He could be so immature; almost as often as he was a jerk. “So Cj, huh? I’m Shane. Why do you care if I know why you’re here. I don’t even know you….yet. I won’t judge you. Tell me…”
“Fine. So you want talk about yourself I’ll just talk about me.” He could be cocky too. “I’m the vampire prince. You know that dark castle? You might not have seen it. It’s in a thick forest. I live there with my sister.” He shifted his weight to his right foot and crossed his arms, pretending as if he hadn’t harassed her before.
“I love her. She’s my best friend. You thing I’m a jerk, you should meet her. Actually, that’s a bad idea. You have any siblings?”

She had a feeling this was going to last a long time. She didn't like the idea, but perhaps she would have to talk to him, perhaps even get to know him if she was to get out of this alive. She took off her jacket, having suddenly forgotten about her shivering --although it was obvious that she was still cold-- and laid it in the sand. She plopped down on it, sitting cross legged and began drawing in the sand, trying to act non-chalant, but it was clear she was still afraid. But if she was going to be here for long, she would at least be comfortable.
"Well I really can't understand how you could be popular with the girls. But I can tell you, you're not popular with me." she watched him with a cold gaze and then returned to burrying her hand in the sand and feeling it slide between her pale fingers.
He was vampire prince, huh? She wondered if that meant he was any stronger than other vampires. What did it mean anyway? He was in line for the throne? She didn't really care about any creature royalty really. "Don't have siblings. My mother died giving birth to me." she said it casually, but she felt a pang in her heart.

“I told you, Cj. I’m very charming. Don’t worry. You’ll realize it in due time.” After she sat down he followed suit and sat down beside her. He could tell that she was still afraid but he didn’t mind. “Sorry about your mom,” Shane said sincerely. He was sorry that he had asked but at least she was speaking to him.
“Now that I know something personal about you, I think it’s time we take our relationship to the next level.” Shane scooted a little closer to her with a grin on his face. “You can start by telling me why you’re here. Then I’ll think about letting you run away. Deal?” He stuck out his hand for her to shake. “If you don’t like the terms of the deal, I’m sure I could find something less pleasant to do with you. It’s your choice…” He smiled brightly, figuring that his fangs would do the convincing.

ooc: hehe... She just couldn't understand. How could he annoy and disgust her so much while being sounding so sincere about something personal like that. It was so strange to her. It was like he had a double personality that was switching back and forth in front of her, and driving her mad by the way. She had to admit. He was handsome, and sort of charming....sort of, in his own freakish way....but definately not the sort of charming that would get her to like him.
She didn't like the fact that he got closer to her, and moved as close to the opposite end of her jacket as she could. And that grin on his face sure was frightening her quite a bit. And as he proposed a deal, she really didn't want to take it. But those glisening fangs of his made her mind up for her. "Not think, you will let me go." she looked dead serious as she took his hand and shook it firmly. The alternative just wasn't acceptable right now.
She pulled her hand away immediately, throwing it deep into the sand as though to hide her fear again. She avoided his gaze and began talking. "I like it here. I like the dark and the ocean. That's all there is to it." she was speaking honestly. She had always loved the ocean, and something about darkness always made her sort of an insomniac. But her daily routine had prevented her from coming here in a long time. "First time I've been here in a while."
As she dug her hands in deeper, she felt something hard on her hand, and as she tried to pull the object out of the sand, she felt something prick her finger to the point that, when the object was revealed to be a sharp piece of glass, a small drop of blood seeped into the sand. She dropped the glass immediately and put her finger to her mouth, completely ignorant it seemed, at that moment at least, that she had a vampire sitting right next to her.

Shane laughed at her assertion that he would let her go. It all depended on whether or not he liked her answer. He noticed that she had the habit of putting her hands in the sand. A nervous habit maybe? Shane didn’t have any nervous habits because he was never nervous. He had no reason to be. He was perfect. At least, he thought he was.
“Boring answer. I don’t think I’m gonna…” Shane stopped mid-sentence as he saw the blood drip from her finger to the sand. The scent was strong and sweet and it called to him. He hadn’t had human blood in a very long time and the idea of just getting a taste of hers made him crazy. His nature as a vampire completely consumed him, making him a person that he didn’t want to be and couldn’t control.
Before he realized what he was doing he had pushed her back to the ground and was on top of her. His eyes had gone from a warm brown to a cold ebony and his fangs had extended so that they were now visible over his bottom lip. The war inside him to keep her safe was a losing one.
Shane had straddled her and pinned her arms on either side of her head. Somewhere inside him he knew he shouldn’t do this but that was quickly pushed aside by his craving for blood. He didn’t even bother to cover her mouth because no one would be able to hear her screams anyway.
Shane lowered his mouth the side of her neck and placed a gentle kiss on the area. It was sort of a trademark. The Vampire didn’t even hesitate to sink his sharp fangs into her flesh. He braced himself for he knew that she would struggle beneath him. He was to strong for him and there was nothing she could do to escape.
The moment her warm blood hit his lips he knew that there was no turning back. His fangs were in deep and he was drinking as if he had been dying of thirst. The crimson liquid was all over his lips and rolling down her neck. He was making a mess. Shane drank until he was beyond satiated. Before pulling away from her he used his tongue to lap up that last few drops of blood on her skin and then kissed the spot again. He breathed heavily as he got off of her, moving to sit beside her the way he had before.
Shane sat there hoping that he hadn’t drank enough blood to kill her. He would feel terrible if he had. She had to understand. It was his nature.

She barely had time to realize what she had just done. Blood, vampire....leathal combination. She was so surprised to see him on top of her, it didn't even occur to her to scream, at least not until she saw his fangs grow. By that time he had already pinned her arms down and she grew panicked. She began screaming and did not stop. Her legs flopped around in a desperate attempt to push him away, and her body crested upward, still not able to shake him off.
He lowered his head into her neck and felt his lips brush over her skin. She should've known. That was his plan all along wasn't it. Lewer ((sp?)) her into a false sense of comfort and then get her when she least expected it. Jerk. But for some reason, she felt as though there was some part of him that could still stop this.
"Stop Shane...don't!!" she screamed, as though that would actually get him to stop. She felt the pain in her neck as his teeth sank into her flesh. It hurt, a lot, and tears sprung from her eyes as she breathed erratically. But he didn't pull away.
She could almost feel the blood being sucked to his mouth, draining from her body. She felt herself grow weaker with each gulp he took in, and her screaming slowly diminished. She closed her eyes gently and her fingers which had formed into fists now relaxed again. In fact, her entire body fell limp.
It felt as though her mind was suddenly overwhelmed with darkness. The same darkness of the skies, but unfortunately with no stars to guide her. Where are the stars? she thought, but she felt so confused. She couldn't understand what was happening to her. She thought of Shane then, and the possibility that she was dead. Was this really what death was like? She thought of Myra, her children, Zeion, her father, and even her mother. She saw her beautiful face, frozen in time in the picture that hung above her bed. Mother, father....are you coming to get me? ooc: wierd...i know....sry *hides under desk*
