Shane regretted everything the instant he saw her lying there on the ground motionless. In fact, his heart broke. He was disappointed in himself for not being able to keep control and saddened because this girl was slowly dying and it was all his fault. The last time that this had happened to him the person died, but maybe he could save Cj this time.
Staring at her still body as he tried to figure out what to do, Shane felt a pang in his chest. He could kill himself for being so stupid. This was what these late night runs were for. He was supposed to run for 10 miles to release the intense desire for blood, maybe finding an animal along the way that he could kill. But unfortunately, CJ had crossed his path. He hadn’t planned to do this to her. When she cut her finger he lost it.
He had no idea what to do to save her until it donned on him. He would have to turn her. If she lived, which would be a miracle, her life would change forever for she would now be a vampire like him. When humans are turned, some would rather have died than become a monster as they were often called. But Shane did this to her and he would do whatever he could to help her. Now it was just a matter of figuring out exactly how to do that.
Was this worth it? He didn’t even know her. Despite this he shoved his hands into his own wrist to draw blood for the time it would take to figure out whether or not he should do it she might die. Shane held her head up with his other hand and lowered his wrist to her lips. The blood poured out of the wound and into her mouth. It hurt badly but he knew it was nothing to the pain he caused her. When he felt that he was on the verge of passing out her removed his wrist and applied pressure to the wound.
Shane had never done this before and was unsure of what to do next. Whatever happened he would have to take her back to the castle and sneak her up to his room. If his mother found out about this she’d be furious, but he couldn’t abandon her. He was better than that. At least, he thought he was before tonight.
OoC: Hope it's okay...
