Arkile had started walking once she decided that looking for somewhere to stay was better than staying in the rain and catching a cold. She walked for at least an hour before coming across a bustling center of commerce. People scuffed about packing up stalls and buying a few last things before those stalls closed for the weather.
She scanned some stalls that were still open, but passed by as she lacked money and the will to really look at what was being sold. Then the soft glow of lamp light caught her eye and she saw a tavern that seemed to be quite alive with weary travelers. Arkile made a quick line for it and entered in, ringing out her shirt at the threshold. She then looked around before heading for an empty table in the corner. A waitress came to take her order as soon as she sat down.
"Oh, no... I'm sorry I have no money. I just came to get out of the rain..." Arkile waited to be told to leave, but the woman just smiled. 'I'm sure some young man... or old man... would be glad to offer to buy you a drink---' A deep voice interupted her from behind, 'Indeed, they would. I would be willing.' Arkile looked up and caught site of dirty blonde hair and striking red eyes. She raised an eyebrow. 'So what would you like, dear?'
"Uh... I don't know... water?"[ The waitress laughed. 'That's free. A beer? Wine? Gin? Vodka?' Arkile blinked. She didn't know what any of that was. The man laughed and flashed a pair of very sharp teeth. 'I'll have a bottle of your best blood and she'll take a glass of Merlot.' The woman nodded and walked off to get the orders. "Blood... so you're a vampire then?"
'Yes, and you're Arkile, are you not? Ha, and here we all believed you to be dead. You're looking well though.' Arkile stared at him with a blank expression as he slid into the seat right next to her and scooted it over close. He took her hand and kissed it. 'Where have you been as your kingdom suffers under the quick change of rulers?'
"I... I'm sorry... I don't know what you're talking about. How do you know me? My name? Are you a telepath?" She was a little scared. Thhis was the first time she'd met one of her kind that she could remember and he was making her nervous with how well he seemed to know her. The fact that he was touching her too... she didn't let anyone touch her. With the exception of Amadeus, but that was only because he was the leader of the clan and she couldn't go against that, plus he rarely chose to take advantage of the fact that she dealt with it.

However there was another figure that entered he had long silver hair a large black jacket. This was Zeion the angel of chaos."I want your finest merlot."He said and ordered a steak he liked it well done and smoked. He looked around as he sat at a small table. That was when he noticed HER!"Arkile?"He whispered and rubbed his eyes and he couldn't belive it it was HER!
He didn't move at all thought he hoped maybe she'd remember him. He didn't really care about the man behind her. He thought about what to say what to bring up. Yet he continued thinking about the past he remember the lake when he admited his feelings for her as well as the castle where they first met. But he remembered clearly the mountian top where he proposed to her during the sunset.
He still watched her remembering the past he hoped she would notice him somehow.

Amadeus had tracked her scent to the mainland. He was worried. He pushed his wolf body as fast as it would go, trying to figure out why in the world he had such a bad gut feeling. He hated it. Why did he have to chase after her? She should be responsable for herself right? So why did he feel he needed to come and take her back to the clan? I'm not her stupid babysitter he thought angrily, and even snarled violently at the thought. But he couldn't stop. He just couldn't.
The scent led him to a place her recognized as the center. And of course, she has to pick a dangerous place on top of it. So many smells came to his attention, and it became difficult for him to find hers among all of them. Perhaps it was just the number of people that had passed here that day. Or perhaps, there was another vampire around. He had to be prepared for that eventuality. He had wanted to avoid all this....he had even promised her a hunt on the mainland, but that hadn't been enough.
Why was she doing this? Out of all the things he had said, he couldn't figure out what had set her off. But he knew that if he were to take her back, he'd have to come up with something to say. She was mad, upset toward him for some reason. That was an obvious one. Women... they just had to make things so complicated.
He lost the scent and cursed. Walking into an alley however, he morphed into his human form, figuring that would be more welcome around there. He looked around, searching for possibilities. His eyes fell upon a tavern which seemed one of the few open for some reason. He crossed the street hurriedly through the rain. He opened the door and closed it just as quickly, resisting the tendency to shake the water out of his hair and clothes. He was dripping wet, but that didn't really bother him. The warmth of the place made him feel welcome immediately, but it wasn't long before he caught that familiar scent again. He took a few steps in, carefully taking notice of everything around him, including a pretty blonde girl next to a 'young' man who was boldly touching her hand.
At the sight of her, he didn't even react. He took notice that she was there, and seemed safe, at least for the moment. He took another minute to look around. He noticed another man, seemingly staring at the vampiress. It made him weary, but he knew he had to do something. He couldn't just stand there and watch. It would simply drive him nuts.
He took a few decisive steps to the table where they were sitting. In a swift movement, he had taken her wrist and pulled her into a standing position. Letting go of it briefly, his arm wrapped gently around her waist as he kept his serious gaze upon the vampire that had been sitting beside her. It was obvious now, by the smell of course. He was an undead creature as well. He was suddenly worried that she would no longer want to go back to the island. Maybe her previous life was better than the one she led with the Nocturna clan. Maybe she hated him. Unintentionally, his grip upon her waist tightened quite a bit, but not quite yet to the point that it would hurt her.
"I'm sorry to interrupt" he now wore a sarcastic smile upon his face as he stared down the vampire. "But my dear, we have to go" he was of course speaking to Arkile, pretending as though he were her boyfriend or something of that sort. Of course, that wasn't true, and by the clear fury that was directed toward the vampire, he was unable to present himself as a good actor.
*Now is not the time to argue* he spoke into her mind, trying to sound as though he was angry at her, but it was hardly believable. He could hardly be angry at her with the deep turmoil in his mind, but surely the anger would come later. It had to. *Please come back with me*. Please? Since when did he say please? Was he loosing his mind? It sure sounded like that. Amadeus was a leader, a commander. He never asked anything of anyone.
Never.
occ: i wasnt sure whether i should rp as the vampire. I'll leave that to Arkile. If you consider this god moding, please feel free to tell me and I'll change it.

The vampire beside Arkile smiled slyly and slid his free hand to her lower back. 'I'm no telepath. Goodness, you really don't remember yourself... or are you playing dumb?' he asked, leaning in close and letting his breath tickle her ear. Arkile shivered, unsure if she liked that feeling or not. More likely not, at least... for this man beside her.
The vampire started to move his hand across her lower back, but no sooner had he started than the girl was pulled from his grasp to stand next to another man. He cringed as he caught scent of the man... was that the smell of a dog? Was this man a lycan? He didn't know there were any here. Arkile was just as surprised as Amadeus appeared and pulled her away. She had just noticed a man staring at her as well at the vampire touching her. Then he just pops in and distracts her entirely with his arm around her waist and ... his request for her to go back with him?
Angrily the vampire man stood and glared back at the guy. He was angry like a boyfriend would be, he tightened his arm around her like a boyfriend would... but something wasn't right. Still, who was he to question it?
'You're lucky few people know she's alive... because if any other vampires saw you touching the queen like that... well let's just say you wouldn't be laying a finger on her again.' He said with a smirk. Arkile stared at him in confusion, her attention distracted from Amadeus now. Queen? Again with that? She unconciously moved closer to Amad. She was nervous, all this stuff coming at her that she didn't understand or expect. She also didn't like how this vampire was threatening Amad.
"We can go... I'm starting to get... nervous... of this place." She didn't dare say scared. Amadeus would probably scold her for being so weak. She started toward the door, but the vampire stopped her. 'Don't leave, your highness. There are others who would love to meet you here. Other vampires who are still loyal to you, even in thinking you dead. You could rebuild your empire! Did you hear the prophecy children are back? You could control the whole island! We'd help... for a small price.' He picked up a curl of her hair and inhaled deeply. Arkile felt ill at the thought and looked ready to cry.
She didn't understand any of this. Why was he calling her a queen? What was this about children and an empire? And why was he touching her?! For the first time she could remember she was so confused that she felt... helpless. She hated this feeling. It made her more sick. She backed away, but the vampire continued toward her. "Please... I really don't know what you're talking about. I'm sorry. I'm not who you think I am!"
The vampire chuckled. 'I am not mistaken. You are Arkile Sernagova, Queen of the Vampires, presumed dead after your step-brother try to kill you with poison... just like your father tried once before. Just like how your father killed your mother.' Arkile suddenly stopped backing away. At the mention of poison, something sparked in her mind. Something small. She could remember being very ill, barely able to move. She crawled into a room where a lovely woman lay in a four poster bed, her eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. "Mommy... mommy..." There was no reply and the woman flopped over like a rag doll when Arkile tugged on her arm.
Arkile suddenly turned and buried her face in Amad's chest. She was shaking now, ready to throw up. Tears streamed down her face. "Please, leave me alone!" She moaned, trying to repress the visions burned into her retinas. Her first memory from her old life? Impossible... nothing that gruesome could have happened to her. She... how could she forget something like that?

occ: Zeion we haven't forgotten you
Stupid idiot Amadeus carelessly thought as he couldn't help but hear what that insolent brat of a vampire had to say. He was disgusted. How dare he talk to him like that, and in front of Arkile none the less. He felt a growl emit from deep within his chest, extremely threatening as he showed his enlarged canines. Amad figured the vampire knew he was a lycan, so he didn't hesitate at all to show it.
Arkile wandered away from his side for a moment. Bad idea, and he knew it, but he felt so angry about what this guy had just said that he didn't really think of pulling her back. But when he merely touched her hair, he felt anger boiling up within him to the point that he grabbed the guy's arm and dug his nails into his quite deeply. "She'll give you nothing, pay you nothing, and if you ever touch a hair on her head again, I swear I'll rip you to shreds" his tone and expression were the most violent they had been in a long time. Sure, he seemed seriously dangerous on the hunt, but this did not even compare. But the vampire seemed determined and he continued to talk this nonesense...at least that's what it was to him.
Her voice came into his mind suddenly. Something was coming back to her, and although he didn't pay too much attention to it at first, he was almost shocked by what he saw and heard in her mind. Was that a memory? Had that actually happened to her. He realized how much he really did not know about her, but chased the thought away, deeming it unfit as far as the time and place. He felt some strange emotion rear up in his heart suddenly that made him forget all the others. Compassion. No, not love, not anger as he usually reacted to things....but he actually felt....sorry for her suddenly. He tried to make it go away...get his anger, his strength back.
He felt her cry against his chest in a sudden movement, and that made everything worse. He just couldn't be angry. He couldn't. For the first time in....well in years. We're leaving he made it clear in her mind, and without bothering to look at the vampire again, a cloud of shadow enveloped them both as he placed his arms around her gently. The position felt so awkward. He wasn't used to having anyone against him, except for when he was fighting someone. This was so ....different. He wasn't really sure if he liked it or not. Probably not.
They disappeared in the shadow, which then quickly glided across the floor toward the exit. Sliding under the door, they emerged from the shadow once outside, in the rain again. He had completely forgotten about the rain and the fact that he was already soaked to the bone. He didn't care. All he wanted to do was leave. "Come on" his voice had regained it's harshness all of the sudden, and he pulled away from her touch. The streets were so dark and empty, his voice being the only sound apart from the drops falling against the pavement. So eerie...so strange.

Zeion watched he was more than shocked that guy took Arkile through a shadow and out the door."Sorry can you give my meal to another person."He told the waitress."He opened the door and almost ran into them."OH! Geez. Sorry but I couldn't help overhearing everything. Arkile it's been a long time."He looked at the man next to her and said."You can let go of her now. I know your a lycan because I saw your teeth." He smiled to Arkile and said."My name is Zeion the Angel of Chaos. Here let me offer you both some shelter from the rain."He said and pointed to an worn out home nearby. Zeion lived with humans so his coat must smeel like them but his blood line was both an angel and a demon.
He led the other two to them house and kicked open the now broken front door."The people who lived here didn't take the furniture. This is my winter home. Please come in and get comfortable."He stated pointing out 3 chairs and a couch. 'That door never liked to open.' He thought and looked at the pair waiting for them to take a seat.
ooc I thought you did....all because my family wanted to go shopping I almost missed everything.

It wasn't long before someone came out of the bar. He had stepped away from Arkile almost immediately after bringing her outside. He could never get used to holding her like that, never. There was just something too awkward about it for him. Probably because he played more of the role of disciplinary toward the members of his clan than anything else. But what could he do?
He recognized the face of the man who stepped out of the bar as the one who had been sitting some distance away from Arkile, but watching her distincly. That simple fact made him wary of the guy's presence. He couldn't trust anyone on the mainland as far as he could throw them. Actually, that wasn't exactly a correct description, since he could probably throw someone pretty far. Nevertheless, his trust for this man was definately minimal, and he wasn't going to stick around for find out whether he was right or not.
It bothered Amad when the man allowed himself to speak directly to Arkile. He wasn't the bit impressed by Zeion's identification of him as a lycan, although that did somewhat ruin the effect of a possible suprise. But no matter. He took a step to set himself between Arkile and the mysterious man. He knew her, for sure....unless that was a game too. But the thought made him uneasy. He didn't want her to remember, as cruel as that might have sounded. But the simple thought of having her relive such memories as what he had seen inside the bar, it would probably be even crueler to allow that to happen, that was certain.
But of course, there was more to it than that. He would never admit it, neither to himself and definately not outloud. He didn't want her to leave the clan, and his fear was that once her memory recovered, she would have to...or worse, want to. He didn't want that to happen, however many times he might deny it. The simple proof was that he had come looking for her tonight when she bolted from her room like that. He probably shouldn't have done that. Then again, if he hadn't, who knows what would've happened. It was probably the best outcome, so far at least.
Even though this man's kindness seemed geniune, he refused to be fooled. He wouldn't enter that house and wouldn't let Arkile go in either. "I'm sorry to dissapoint you" he tried to seem polite but was clearly rather hostile in his manner of speaking "But we like the rain, and we must get going. And don't dare to think of following. Where we're going, the penalty for trespassing is death." he didn't want to give the guy the hope that it might be possible for him to follow. What he had just said was certainly true. The island did not welcome visitors, but then again, no one really knew that since no one ever returned to inform anyone. And that's how Amadeus liked it. It was protection from the outside world, for the clan's sake.
He glanced toward the enterance of the bar when the door opened for a second time. He caught sight of the vampire whom had caused trouble inside. That had to be expected. Vampires weren't really famous for relinquishing what they wanted. This night would probably end with spilled blood. And Amadeus wasn't counting on it being his. In the blink of an eye, he morphed into his white wolf body and looked at Arkile with warning. Get out he told her.
occ: uh...no inspiration *sigh*

For a moment things were ok. Not great, but ok. Amadeus took her out of the pub and the rain made her feel even better. However, then Amad moved away from her so quickly it was like it burned him to touch her. She hurt a lot at that movement. All over again she felt that anger that had made her leave, that feeling that he didn't want her around. Her eyes watered again and stung, but she didn't cry. She didn't have time.
A man stepped out of the bar behind them and addressed her and Amadeus. He told Amad he could let go of her, too bad he was a little late on that. He tried to get Amadeus and Arkile to go with him into a nearby house, but Amad wasn't going for that. Arkile sighed, she just didn't get her clan leader. He did things that made her feel so unwelcome, but he came all the way to the center of the mainland to bring her back to the island. She just wished he'd stop being so confusing.
Then the vampire from earlier came out too, obviously upset and ready to fight. His fangs showed as he hissed at Amadeus and winked at Arkile. Arkile shivered and tried to push her memory out of her head, but it replayed. She turned her back completely, breathing deeply and doing her best to forget. Suddenly she heard Amad's voice in her head telling her to leave. She rounded on him as he morphed and tugged on a patch of his fur lightly. 'There is no way in Hell I'm leaving you alone here to fight these guys. If I did and you didn't come back to the island the clan would kill me!'
That was only half the truth. The whole truth included the fact that she would rather die than never have him come back. He was so important to the clan and he was her constant. The only thing she'd known as long as she could remember. Granted, that wasn't much because she couldn't remember hardly anything. Either way, she wasn't leaving him alone. She'd fight too if she needed to, even if she really wasn't much good.
((if anyone else wants to play the vampire guy too in their posts, go ahead.))

ooc: Might as well just plain be rid of him so give me a bit.
Zeion however noticed their attention turned to the pub again. He got up and came out."No need for you two to get involed. I'll handle this one."He said stepping infront of the two.""Please feel free to go inside I'll be not even moment. Beside Arkile might want to know the better truth that other vampire is only a manipulator." He said that was when his wings spread his left white and black right wings spread wide. The vampier from the pub didn't eem impressed. "Please leave him to me."He told Amad and Arkile Zeion smiled he had no real reason to fight only to protect Arkile.
"Ok sir a fight you want a fight you shall get."Zeion told the Vampire Zeion however brought out a weapon this time, a sword a large katana he had found on a ship from Japan. Zeion however didn't draw it yet as the vampier flew right for Arkile ALMOST getting by but with Zeion's demon speed he had the vampier by the neck."Now listen here sir I'd like it if you'd leave ore else you will get this blade right into your heart." He let the vampier go who flew right back to the castle which Zeion knew was near."OK now then."
He could hear the vampier yelling 'I'll be back!' He looked at Arkile and Amad."Well might as well tell you both the truth. While you were queen ,Arkile, I was your royal bodyguard. That is how I know you. Before your rule I searved your father but however after his death you being eldest I served you."He told Arkile Zeion was telling her to parts he remembered most."It was because of your step-brother you don't remember anything. Which was an error on my part I should not have trusted him."He said and got on one knee his wings folded yet were still visable."Since you have returned I wish to become your bodyguard once more."
He looked to Amad and nodded showing he was talking the truth."I'd never lie to a lovely lady."He whispered to Amad he was also talking truth he never lies to girls.

The vampire was gone quickly enough. He had tried to get to Arkile, but the mysterious man from the bar stopped him and he flew off. Arkile didn't know if she was glad or not about that. She was too confused. She stayed close to Amad's side and eyed Zeion suspiciously.
As he said she had been queen and that he was her bodyguard little patches of things came back. However, nothing she could make out before it was gone. Not until he got down on one knee to ask to be her bodyguard again. Suddenly several memories came back to her. Including one where... he asked her to marry him? Arkile felt ill and swayed where she stood. It was all too much at once.
Suddenly Arkile found herself on the ground, staring sideways at a building. How did she get there? Had she just fainted? She groaned and sat up. She was breathing fairly heavily. Snips of scenes from her past kept swirling around in her head. Killing someone... a man. A girl with dark hair and skin. Her mother again. A knife. A ring. "Stop it, stop it, STOP IT!" Arkile was crying again. She couldn't take it. It was sensory overload and it was killing her.
She didn't know what was going on around her. It was like she couldn't see anything for the past. She reached out for anything, anyone. She didn't care as long as she felt something that was in the present with her and the past stopped surfacing. Did she not want to know the past? That wasn't it. She just needed to remember it a bit slower, one piece at a time. Her hands locked around someone, something and clenched tightly before the vampiress passed out again. This time she didn't wake up right away.

Amadeus watched the fight unravel and was glad the vampire was gone. He thought of Zeion less of a threat now, but still felt strange around him. It was, once again, the thougth that he knew her. Too dangerous for them right now. She couldn't remember. Not yet. Not....ever.
He saw her fall to the ground and felt panicked, although he desperately tried to hide it. Amad was immediately by her side, not knowing what to do. He was getting so many different signals from her mind, confusion, memories, feelings. It was awful, even for him, and he couldn't imagine what it was for her. This was what he had been trying to avoid. Not only that, but what might happen after this has passed.
We should've left sooner...while he was fighting the vampire Amad cursed himself. He had shifted back into his human form and suddenly felt her grip upon his arm.
*Don't cry Arkile, don't cry* he knew what she needed, calmness, reassurance, but he wasn't sure he was the person to provide it. He just wanted this to stop. *Arkile, listen to me. Don't think of all that crap...just listen to my voice alright? Just focus on my voice....nothing else exists, but my voice in your head, do you understand me? Only my voice. Think of the rain, the feeling of the rain and the mudd when you almost ran into me the other day while hunting. Only my voice....* he kept speaking to her in such a manner through telepathy, trying to soothe the strange commotion of thoughts going through her mind.
He easily picked up her body, and turned very briefly toward Zeion. "Look, I get what you're trying to do. I get you want her back, but she's not ready yet. I'm not her kidnapper, and I won't keep her from digging into her past, but she's got to decide that for herself. Don't try to do it for her, or else, this is what you get." he seemed angry about the outcome of the situation, and he hurriedly made his way into the forest.
*Just keep listening to me, Arkile, I won't let anything happen to you anymore. You don't need to remember, you don't need to think, just listen.*
