Sky took a deep breath as she opened her eyes. Damn it, she cursed herself under her breath. She had slept walked again. This was the 3rd time this month and she was lucky she hadn't gotten herself killed yet. She rubbed her forehead and then ran her finger tips through her deep brown hair.
She turned in a circle as she looked around. Where had she ended up this time? It was almost pitch black but the light that came off of her skin and wings was enough. She was in the center. She sighed in relief. At least she wasn't in another kingdom's domain. She still wasn't exactly safe. She was at least an hour's flight away from her own domain.
Her deep brown eyes scanned the area once more as she held her breath and stayed as quiet as she possibly could. She was praying that no one had seen her or was following her. She could be easy prey at the moment. Not seeing or hearing anything, she breathed out and set down on the cool grass.
Skylar sat there for a few minutes, just to regain herself. She was going to have someone put locks on her windows and doors at night. She laughed quietly at her own thought of this. Of course she wouldn't do that, she would feel like a prisoner in her own home. Shaking her head, she stood quietly and started walking in the direction of her domain. She didn't feel like flying just yet.

Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman. Maybe he won't find out what I know: you were the last good thing about this part of town.
Devin walked along through the woods, Fall Out Boy pumping into his eardrums via headphones. He bobbed his head in beat with the song and started playing on the air drums. He smiled to himself and continued mouthing the words. When I wake up, I'm willing to take my chances on the hope I forget that you hate him more than you notice I wrote this for you He emerged from the trees soon enough and looked around. He was pretty far from the village now. He shrugged it off and kept his eyes open. He knew of the dangers that lurked, but he had heard rumors of the Center and how its supposed to be one of the safest places in the island. Let's hope they were right, he thought to himself. You need him. I could be him... I could be an accident but I'm still trying. That's more than I can say for him. Devin stopped short then, his eyes resting on a womanly figure. There seemed to be light coming off her skin and...wings? Devin squinted his eyes as he tried to get a better look at her. He watched curiously until she disappeared from view, having sat down on the ground. Devin smiled to himself once more and started walking towards her. Just as he was about five feet away, she stood up again and started walking away. Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman. Maybe he won't find out what I know: you were the last good thing about this part of town. Hoping not to frighten her, he called out to her. "Hey! Hey wait up!" He jogged over to her and stopped when he was right next to her. He gave her one of his charming smiles and introduced himself. "Hey. I'm Devin. What is a pretty lady like you doing out her all alone? Just kidding. Don't worry I don't do lines. But I do act slightly old fashioned." Someday I'll appreciate in value, get off my ass and call you... {but for} the meantime I'll sport my brand new fashion of waking up with pants on at 4:00 in the afternoon. With that, he bowed slightly before her and took her hand, bringing his lips to the top of it. "May I inquire your name miss?" he asked, flashing a devilishly charming smile at her again. You need him. I could be him... I could be an accident but I'm still trying. That's more than I can say for him.

Sky hadn't been walking long at all before she heard something. She heard someones footsteps at first, but didn't fear them. They were too loud to be any of the other races. Human. She placed a hand on her chest as she sighed and turned around as a boy called out to her.
She could hear the music he was listening too, but couldn't recognize the song because it was to quiet for it to be distinct. She smiled lightly back at him as he introduced himself.
'Hey. I'm Devin. What is a pretty lady like you doing out her all alone? Just kidding. Don't worry I don't do lines. But I do act slightly old fashioned.'
Skylar mentally sighed with relief when he stated he was just kidding and she didn't have to answer his question. She was kind of embarrassed as to why she was out here. Sleepwalking. Really. Who ever heard of an angel that walked in her sleep? Well, her family knew. Not that they tried to help or anything, but they knew.
When Devin bowed and kissed her hand she smiled and blushed slightly. She couldn't truly remember the last time a man had done that. He was slightly old fashioned. She, in return, pretended to curtsy. Seeing as she really couldn't because she was in shorts. "I'm Skylar. But you can call me Sky if you'd like."
Sky smiled and looked over him quickly. He was cute. Why hadn't she seen him around before? Oh, that's right. She never got out anymore. So, unless he was an angel, she wouldn't have seen him lately. Also, he was human. She usually got tired with mortals. Usually, the less educated about the island they were, the more they asked if they were dead when they saw her. Either that or they thought she was their guardian angel and that she could take them home. All of it just got on her nerves.

Devin stood up straight again and smiled at her as she 'curtsied'. "Nice to meet you Sky. So you're an angel huh? Pretty cool." He pointed at her wings and gave her a thumbs up. He had a very joking nature and pointed out the obvious quite alot. Devin noticed that she looked him over but didn't let it get to his head. He quickly looked at her as well, so they were both guilty. No need of pointing that obvious out yet.
He had to admit to himself that she was quite pretty. The way the moon seemed to glow on her skin was quite interesting. He smiled at her again. "So if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing out here? I don't usually see too many people out here this late."
Devin pulled out his earphones and took his iPod out from his pocket. He shut it off and wrapped the wires around it before placing it carefully back into his jacket pocket. With one more glance at Sky, he settled himself down on the ground, and folded his arms behind his head as he waited for her response.
((wow sorry that sucks))

Skylar pretended to be shocked, "What? I'm an Angel?" She turned in a circle, looking at her wings, "Well, just look at that. Who would have known." She laughed. She was obviously being sarcastic. That was her usual response when someone stated she was an angel though.
Then he asked a question he didn't already know the answer to. What was she doing out here. Sky wasn't good with coming up with excuses on the spot and she was a horrible lier. It took a lot for her to lie to anybody. She could only really do it when it was absolutely necessary, and even then she had a hard time.
She sighed. Might as well just tell the truth, he'll be able to tell if I don't, Sky thought to herself. "I..well..I really don't know what I'm doing here. I kind of...woke up here." She rubbed the back of her head with her hand before letting it drop back to her side. "I guess I was sleep walking...again."
After she replied, she sat down as well, "What about you? Shouldn't you be safe in the mortal village and not wondering about during the night?"

Devin grinned at her sarcastic remark. She's got some spunk he thought to himself with a pleased expression. He widened his eyes for effect as he clasped his hand over his mouth in a shocked manner. "What a surprise!" He grinned at her once more and leaned forward so that his arms rested on his knees. He observed her for a moment, noticing that she was deliberating something. He cocked his head to the side and looked at her in a perplexed manner.
Devin watched her carefully until she finally spoke again. "I kind of...woke up here. I guess I was sleep walking...again." He watched as she clearly looked confused and had now taken a seat beside him. Devin nodded understandingly. "Again? How many times do you sleep walk? That you know of I mean. It's kinda dangerous isn't it? My brother used to sleep walk. He ended up on the opposite side of my old town once. We thought for sure he was gonna get himself killed..."
Devin grinned at her with a sly smile. He looked away and tried to think of what to tell her. He just shrugged and turned back, smile still planted on his face. "I just felt like a stroll is all. The village was kinda bugging me. Same old faces ya know? Needed a change of scenery for a bit."
He leaned closer to her so that his face was only a few inches away from hers. "Plus, its absolutely beautiful here. And the scenery isn't have bad either," he added with a wink in her direction.
Devin flashed one more charming smile at her before he pulled away and leaned back so that he was now lying in the grass. He looked up into the sky and admired the infinite stars that dotted its surface. The moon hung low behind the mountains and created a slight shadow that sprawled itself over the land. The sky was still a dark color, but it was clear that morning would be arriving within a few hours.

Skylar sighed. Of course it was dangerous to sleep walk. It was probably going to get her into a whole lot of trouble someday. She was just glad that time wasn't today. I don't think her parents would be very pleased if they had to be taken from their extremely busy schedule to find out their daughter was missing.
"Well, this is the third time this month," She said as she fiddled with a piece of grass. "It's really dangerous. And, it's not like in the mortal world at all. Where a car can stop, most of the creatures won't hesitate to kill or feed on someone."
She nodded when he said he needed a change of scenery. She was always glad for that. Her race's area got so boring, but her parents didn't like it when she ventured off. It made them worry, and they already did enough of that. Worrying about if their people were happy and if they had enough food. But they never really worried about their children. Sky had gotten used to that though.
When Devin got closer to her, it caught her off guard and she almost backed away. She didn't, however, because she only really backed away from someone when she was scared. Right now she wasn't at all. She blushed, though, when he winked and smiled again.
Skylar hoped he hadn't seen her blush, she usually didn't. But she was sure he had. She watched as he leaned back and looked at the sky. "So, how did you get here?" Sky asked, trying to start a conversation. "On the island, I mean."
