She had sneaked out. She wasn't sure how she had done it, but she was out of the vampire castle. She knew Shane wouldn't be happy about this, which is why she wasn't planning on telling him. She just had to tell Myra what was going on, at least relay the message. This was absolutely ridiculous.
It was night of course, and the sky was clear so the moonlight shone brightly on the mortal village. She stopped at the corner of a street for a moment. This was the first time she was really experiencing the feeling of her vampiric body. And it felt great. She had so much energy, she felt invincible. She could smell anything and everything, but thankfully, the mixing and confusion of all the different smells on the street prevented her from getting focused on one and hungering for blood. So far, that hadn't been a problem, but that peace wouldn't last forever.
She stopped at the house and in only a moment, she was in the children's room. The baby was fast asleep, but the little boy that she loved so much seemed to sense her presence. He sat up in bed as she sat down on the chair at the other end of the room. "Capu? Is that you? We were worried." Capucine smiled gently. "Yes, it's me...I want you to tell your mother I can't come anymore" she knew that Myra would've freaked at the sight of Capu as a vampire, and she had remembered how the boy was so accepting of Zeion. She hoped it would be the same for her.
"Capu, you're so pale...but you're beautiful" she smiled again, and as he tried to get out of bed to come up to her, she ordered him to stop. His human smell as he moved filtered into the air and she was beginning to feel pangs in her chest and throat. "Don't move, please" the boy obeyed. "Just tell your mother I won't be able to be here for a while. Tell her what you saw tonight. I'm not the same as I was before ok?" the boy seemed confused and asked why, but she didn't give an answer. Her hands were beginning to shake and she had stopped breathing a while ago.
In a sudden movement, she jumped out the window and found herself crouching on the street. She hadn't hurt herself, but her eyes had turned read and she clutched at her chest desperately. Oh please let somebody come that'll prevent me from hurting anybody she gulped furiously and just couldn't stop thinking of the feeling of being bitten and how horrible it was.
