Ace wandered around the forest for a while, but soon got tired of it. She exited the leafy foliage and found herself outside the mortal village. Now normally the inhabitants here were left alone, but today Ace really wanted to find a play toy. She wanted someone to hurt and maim.
Moving swiftly and silently through the crowds she acted like any other being passing through. Her eyes scanned everyone, looking for the best canidate. She wanted someone who was either quick to cry so she could gather fun from small little pains and keep them around longer... or someone who took a long time to cry so she could work at breaking them. Challenges were fun.
So far most were too old, or too young. She wasn't fond of hurting females. Males were the best. They were often arrogant or stubborn. Or they liked to pretend they were. She sighed as no one jumped out at her. Then, feeling defeated she turned down an alley and plopped herself on a crate.
It was a bad day for the demoness. She was bored out of her mind. Slamming her fist down on the wooden box she sighed again and drew her knees up as she placed her back to the wall of the building beside her. She stared up at the graying sky and shook her head in defeat.

"D**n...why do you have to be such a jerk all the time?" a voice echoed from around the corner as the young man was being pummeled by the guy beside him. "I'm only being a jerk cuz you're being an idiot" the guy laughed and pushed him into the wall again with quite a bit of force, and this time, Dante did not go without retaliating. He managed to slip to the other side of his friend and pushed him into the wall of the alley. Neither noticed the girl sitting on the crate.
Dante flashed a quick smile before his friend recovered "I still think you were a total idiot in there" the guy said, making an indication toward the bar that was not too far off down the street "I mean, it's not that hard to ask a girl out". Dante pushed him against the wall again "It is when I'm not asked about it...and the girl turns out to be a vampire!" he seemed annoyed now as he recalled the events of the night.
"Man...i was just lookin out for you. Wait...you're not queer are you?" Dante seemed appalled at the suggestion. "NO!" he thought that deserved yet another push against the wall as he took a few more steps into the alley. It was clear now by his expression that he was angry at his 'friend'.

Ace heard a commotion and turned to see two boys pushing and shoving eachother right into the alleyway. Her eyes began to glisten and she smirked a little as they traded words and blows. They weren't really fighting, just fooling around. However it peaked Ace's interest.
As they spoke the words drifted in her direction and some wrapped around her, others just brushed off. 'It is when I'm not asked about it...and the girl turns out to be a vampire!' Ace snickered and couldn't stand not having her presence known any longer.
She stood and slinked over to the boys, wrapping her slender fingers around the wrist of the one who had spoken those words. "You think vampires are bad?" A short chuckle escaped her cherry red lips. "You should look into demons." She traced her fingertips along his arm smoothly and then changed to the other boy, pushing herself up closer to him.
Suddenly she grabbed his arm and spun him around to push him up against the wall. She looked to the boy who had had the experience with the vampiress as she lengthened her nails into claws and drew her free hand down her capture's arm until he bled. Ace's smile grew malicious. "We can be a hell of a lot more fun."

Dante was the first to realize that there had been an audience to their little act. And he was also the first one to realize that she was...well, quite nice looking. Great, way to make a first impression he thought to himself as he realized that his friend had now noticed her presence as well. Good, so it wasn't just a wierd dream of his.
But when she took his wrist, he looked at her confused, at least until he heard the tone in her voice...but especially what that voice was saying. This girl clearly was no human, and his previous temptation to get to know her immediately faded into panic. Why couldn't he just meet a nice, normal girl??
He found himself petrified, unable to react. It was difficult to say whether it was by fear or by the simple realization that she was much stronger than him, and a renewed feeling of desperation --the first one being when he had to confront the vampire girl earlier that evening.
He winced as he felt blood trickle down his fingers. Fun? What the hell did that mean? Well, he immediately knew what his friend was going to think, but as he looked at her eyes...and her claws, he was worried as to what her definition of fun was.
"How about...we go and have some fun --he shivered at the word-- somewhere else?" he took a step foward, placing himself between the girl and his friend. After all, even if he was an idiot, he couldn't let him die...be eaten....or whatever this girl was planning to do to him. He had known him since they were kids...that was reason enough right?

Ace was ready to rip the boy's friend apart, but then he stepped in and offered they go have 'fun' somewhere else. She sized him up and smirked. He was scared out of his mind it seemed, but here he was offering himself up on a golden platter to the demoness.
Something in Ace faultered a moment. She hesitated before taking his arm in hers as if he were escorting her to some ball or another. She grinned and pat the friend on the arm. "See you later, cutie." She joked. Then she Pulled the boy off to the forest. There she pinned him up against a tree in smirked.
"Such a brave coward." She leaned in and sniffed his scent, starting at his neck. "Hmm, but you sure smell appetizing." She giggled and traced her claws, slowly turning back to nails, down his cheek. Something else stirred in Ace as she scanned him from head to toe. She shivered, not liking this... vulnerable feeling. Immediately she turned her nails back to claws and stabbed them into his shoulders.
Anything to quell that feeling. She drew her nails down and leaned forward. "Now isn't this fun? Aren't you glad you offered yourself up as a sacrafice in your friend's stead?" She chuckled and retraced his chin, this time pushing her claws into the skin. Something made her want to stop, but she just pushed harder in answer to that feeling.

Dante had to admit, he was rather suprised when his tactic worked out the way he planned. He felt relieved for a moment as she said her goodbyes to his friend, but suddenly a feeling of dread clouded his view. He thought of what she was going to do with him. That was certainly not going to be fun for him. But he had to stay strong --not macho strong...just strong strong ;D--, and maybe something like what he had pulled off back there would work again. Who knew? One thing was sure, was that he had to find out more about this demoness before he died....if that's what she was planning. Trying to run away physically right then and there was no solution. He would have to be smart about this.
He was completely in thought. He had almost seemed to enjoy having her arm in his, and didn't even notice they had entered the forest until she pinned him to a tree. He moaned with pain as she stabbed him the first time, but held back a yell. He had a feeling that screaming would not improve his situation, just by the look in her eyes as he stared back at her.
"Actually, I am glad" he tried to smile a bit, half to comfort himself with the thought, half to try to convince her. "Because even if all he's been is a jerk to me since we were kids, I'm glad he's not the one with the claws in his shoulders" he winced as he spoke. "And I'm glad I smell good to you too" his smile broadened and his face leaned closer to hers "Because then you'll be less tempted to go back and fetch somebody else for you're pleasures."
As she pushed in harder, he threw his head back against the tree. He could not help but let out a cry of pain as his jaws clenched while he kept his eyes closed. She had such beautiful eyes...but he couldn't watch them if they were simply going to stare back at him full of sadistic pleasure...

Ace's heart pounded as he leaned closer. What was he doing? And the smile? Why was he trying to smile? Ace had to hold back a shudder. What was with this boy? He didn't want her to go back and find someone else... he was really willing to sacrafice himself in the stead of someone else.
She calmed a little bit as he tossed his head back and cried out. She breathed a little easier. Ace sighed a little and released his face from between her fingers. "So, pet... hmm... pet... we'll discuss that later. Anyway, what's your name, pretty one?" She moved closer of her own free will and nudged her nose against his neck and then along his jawline.
Just a play toy. He was just a play toy. She Let her breath breeze past his ear. "I'm Acerina Lamielle. Demon Princess. You should be honored to be chosen by me. Hell, if you're going to be tortured... it might as well be by the best, right?" She chuckled melodically. Then Ace moved away and locked her eyes with his.
"Now about this pet thing... I'd be willing to make you an offer. You let me torture you... you be my willing servant and... well... I'll keep you alive. Or I could just kill you and put you out of your misery right now if you don't think you can handle it." Ace's features softened a moment, though she was unsure of why. They hardened again with a sadistic twist of her lips. "So which will it be?"

Dante noticed the unusual flicker in her eyes...or at least it seemed unusual. He remembered the way the vampiress had treated him....the way she had looked at him at least, and felt as though there was something off in this demoness...something bothering her perhaps?
He listened to what she said and seemed rather puzzled. She was giving him a choice? That was the last thing he had expected, especially on her part. Then again, neither choice seemed too appealing. But why? He couldn't really understand. It wasn't his place anyway.
"Well isn't that you're choice?" he asked, his expression rather blank, although he was still shivering from her touch and their closeness only moments ago. His fear had somewhat dissapated, especially when she backed off slightly. The truth was, he didn't want to choose. He was not about to allow for his own death, but he really did not want to sign on to remain her pet forever. So he would promise nothing, and leave it to her whether he should live or die. That thought wasn't too comforting. But at least this way he would find out what her intentions were --basically...whether she really wanted to kill him or not, which was the important thing.

Immediately Ace regretted giving him a choice. He showed his inability to assert himself. It bothered her greatly. She growled and grabbed him by his throat, pulling his away from the tree and throwing him to the ground. "Weakling! Get a backbone you pathetic excuse for a human being. I don't normally give choices and you waste yours."
"Granted, it may not have been the best two things to choose between, but it was a choice. You had a hand in your fate. If you don't want it though then fine. I'll take all your power away. From this day on you won't have a single choice. You won't have a say in anything even things that have to do with you." Ace growled again and picked him back up.
She closed her eyes and envisioned a sort of dog collar and other bindings. She focused her magic into making them real. Then she opened her eyes and slapped the now real items onto the boy's wrists and neck. She sneered, grimaced, though it was supposed to be a smirk. She grabbed his face and brought it near. "Do you like that? You're going to spend eternity as my slave and suffer."
She shoved him forward towards the demon territory. "Walk." She commanded, keeping her eyes on the back of his head. Those eyes were clouded and confused. Why wasn't she killing him? Normally she'd kill someone for not taking one of her rarely given opportunities... Maybe she felt he had the ability to take it and... if she made him suffer enough... No she didn't understand. She growled angrily and shoved him again for no reason.

What?
Dante was so confused. She was mad at him because he had refused to make a choice, and because of that, he was a weakling. He could've argued with that, but perhaps it was not the best idea right now. He just remembered that he had forgotten to tell her his name, but that fact seemed trivial as his confused gaze was locked with her furious one.
And now there were chains around him. Where did those come from? And only a moment later, he was on the ground.
Walk...
So this is what it would be to be a demoness's pet...well, pretty much what he expected. Demeaning, and soon to come painful, he was sure of that. But for some reason he felt angry. How dare she assume his reasons for not choosing? He had to set this straight, even though it would cause him great pain....for she would surely punish him.
With a deep breath and a sudden movement, he pushed himself upward and with gravity's help as well as the weight of his body and hopefully the effect of suprise, he brought himself to the ground again, along with the demoness next to him.
"I'm not about to kill myself, you hear me?" his voice was angry and his piercing eyes stared daringly into hers "And I will NOT sign up to be your pet for the rest of my life, so if you kill me, my blood is on your hands"

Ace was taken off guard as he turned on her suddenly and tackled her to the ground. She found herself pinned under him and staring up. He seemed furious and it made Ace really happy. She was such a freak. It wasn't even because she had a good reason to retaliate now.
She was happy because he was sticking up for himself. She wanted him to go against her? For a challenge? No... because she didn't want to boss him around and have full control? Ace shuddered and then looked back up at him. She hadn't noticed her eyes had wandered a moment.
She smirked and reached a hand up to his face to pat his cheek gently. "That a boy." She pushed him off and crawled over to him, grabbing him by his shirt collar. "Well, you're a little late now... I've decided to make you my pet. I won't kill you for now." She giggled and kissed his forehead like a doting pet owner would a dog.
She pulled away, blinking and surprised. She then turned and stood quickly and pulled the boy up with her. "Come on, I'll show you your new home." She put on a smirk again and kept walking, though her chest tightened after that kiss. Innocent... and that was what bothered Ace, it had to be.

He kept his eyes locked with hers, and was suprised to see no glimmer of fury or sadisism.
Fear.
It reared it's ugly head up again when she pushed him back onto the ground. He breathed harder as she crawled on top of him....but she had touched his cheek, so softly too. He would've taken that hand and pressed it to his face, his lips, if he hadn't thought that it would only make his punishment worse.
But what was this? It seemed as though the oozing gashing wounds which she already had inflicted upon his shoulders were enough for her. No stabbing? No bitting or hitting...or whatever demonesses do for punishment. So she wasn't going to kill him. That was a slight relief, but the words 'for now' of course led him to believe that he wouldn't be safe forever.
He felt her lips on his forehead. He had trouble closing his eyes....trouble realizing that this was in fact real. He thought about pinching himself, just to make sure that it wasn't just his distorted mind playing tricks on him... a deathly experience, followed by a kiss from a pretty girl. Certainly was an odd day.
When she pulled him up, he winced with the pain of his already inflicted wounds, although he tried to conceal it from her. Surely she would see he was loosing blood. But something else was bothering him, even more than the wounds. It was that look in her eyes as she had pulled away from him. He imagined that the suprise in her eyes was the exact same that was in his own.
And a new home? What could that be like? Where did demons live anyway? He suddenly realized how little he knew about her kind. Maybe that could be remedied. "So you're a princess huh?" he walked along her side, his eyes squinting every time he had to move his arms somehow because of the chains. "So that means there's a King and Queen of demons?" he really had no ideas. The idea of a Queen was actually quite frightening to him.
