The echoes of her cloak sliding off her back made her look around at the vast size of the foyer. Arkile sighed and folded her cloak over her arm. She was home, it had been too long. She started toward the stairs and made her way up them. The servants she passed stopped in their tracks at the sight of her. It was like seeing a ghost for them no doubt.
She paused and waved one over. "Does Roslynn still reside here?" She asked. The servant nodded. "Good, go ask her to visit my room. It is still my room, isn't it?" The servant nodded again quickly and then headed off to find the vampire princess. Arkile went to her room and hung up her cloak. She ran her fingers over her clothes, nothing has changed.
Looking down at her clothes she changed again into black pants and a black t-shirt. The dress was too much of a reminder that she was buried alive. However, colors didn't fit her mood. She went back into her room and collapsed on the edge of the bed. She laid back, but then sat up immediately. She was home now, a queen. She had to act like one even when people weren't around. Besides, who knew when her sister would show up?
Home... it felt so foreign to her now.

((ughh. 3 posts at once, im killing myself here. and the laws of physics. haha))
It had been getting dark when Roslynn started to get ready to leave. She would have been ready in an hour or so if she hadn't been interrupted every 5 minutes. Servants came to her room asking her every question in the book. They knew she was up and wanted to know if she needed anything. She had repeatedly told them to go away before she found that she was hungry and just happened to feed on one of them.
That had kept them away for a while, but as soon as Ros was ready to leave, they started bothering her again. She had just walked out of her room when one of the servants came up to her. "What do you want now?" Ros yelled. She just wanted to get out of the castle and away from the domain.
The servant bowed his head and apologized for bothering her once again, "Sorry, princess. I have orders for you from the Queen."
Roslynn rolled her eyes, thinking he meant her aunt. "This better be good. What are they?" She asked.
"You are to go up to Arkile's room." He responded, "I'll leave you alone now." And with that he left her.
Ros blinked. Why would she need to go to Arkile's room? It made no sense. No one went there much anymore. She had when Arkile had first passed though. She remembered crying in there every night for 2 weeks straight. She shook her head now, trying to swallow fresh tears that came with the memories of her sister's death. She made her way up to the room, thinking if she was needed there, it had to be important.
She reached the door and hesitated at first to go in. Regaining herself, Roslynn opened the door and walked in. She stopped dead in her tracts and stared at her sister's bed. Arkile was sitting there. She rubbed her eyes to see if she were hallucinating, but found she wasn't. She closed the door quickly.
Ros ignored the fact that she were a princess and were supposed to act accordingly. She ran and hugged her sister, tears threatening to come out again. "Where have you been? I thought you were dead?!"

Arkile heard someone approaching and tensed. The door opened and Roslynn entered. Arkile let out a long breath at seeing her. It had been too long. She didn't realize how much she had missed her, of course she hadn't been able to remember her either. Ros hugged her and asked where she'd been.
Arkile hugged her back, but at her question she could only think of Amadeus and the clan she left behind. She swore to protect them and keep their secret. "Sleeping." She said in response. "I was poisoned and slept until my body fought it off. Strong stuff, but thank god I was stronger." She pulled away from her sister and stood up. "So how's the kingdom? How are the people? Are they happy?"
She had to know. Especially now that she was thinking of Amadeus... if they were happy maybe she could leave them with her aunt and uncle and go back to the clan and relax... life was so much easier there. Could she leave Ros again though? She couldn't let her know about the isle... so... she couldn't bring her with her. She could visit though right? The isle? The mainland? Amadeus didn't seem too excited to have her stay so...
Arkile sighed and pulled her hair out of her braid. It was bothering her. It tugged at her skull and gave her a migraine... or maybe that was just the stress of remembering things, coming home. Did she really want to be there? What was she talking about of course she did! She was her mother's daughter completely. Strong, skilled, beautiful, willed, demanding, responsible, devoted to her people. Above all else, even her wellbeing and happiness, devoted to her people.

Roslynn was surprised when Arkile said she had been poisoned. She was glad that Zeion had gotten to their step brother before he had had a chance to attempt to poison her as well. She knew she were strong, but not as strong as Arkile. She didn't think she would have been able to fight it off. Now, maybe, but not then.
She sat down on the bed beside Arkile after they pulled out of the hug. "I can't believe you've really been alive this whole time. You haven't missed much. Life on this island is so boring anymore. Only one thing of interest has really happened and I'm not sure if its a rumor or true." She paused for a moment, "The siblings have returned."
Ros figured that helped answer Arkile's question a bit. The siblings were back on the island, which meant most of the royal families were planning to capture them somehow. She shrugged, "Well, I haven't really dealt much with the people. Seeing as, when you died...I mean...when we thought you died, I apparently wasn't ready to rule. So dad's brother and his wife took over. But, I haven't heard any complaints. So I'm guessing they are happy."
Roslynn watched as her sister messed with her hair. She reminded her so much of their mother. Well, what she could remember of her anyway. Seeing as she was younger when their mother passed on and she herself was exiled.

"The siblings, huh? I suppose even our aunt and uncle want in on that front? It's not worth it. They cause too much trouble. Look at the problems they caused when they were born? We should stay out of the war and feed on the wounded that come out of it." Arkile rubbed her temples and turned back to face her sister.
She sounded like Amadeus. Like a lycan. Stay to yourself. Preserve yourself. Your clan. Amadeus. The clan. She sighed. At least Roslynn said her people were happy... so if the clan really would take her back... she could return. Arkile walked to the window and looked out over the tree tops toward the shore. She couldn't see the island, but she knew it was there.
Arkile turned around and looked at Roslynn. "Things around here are going to change... with me. I'm not... exactly the same as I was before. I'll try my hardest to act the same, but... I am changed. Where I was... I wasn't the Arkile everyone knows. I was someone I..." Someone she liked a lot more she wanted to say. "Someone I don't know. It changed my perspective in some cases. Bear with me, please."
"So... on a lighter note... who's the new vampire in Shane's room? I smelled her when I walked by. Are they together?" She was being nosy and... too caring for her own good. The first change her sister might note. "I just want to know who's in my castle." Nope, there was the old Arkile again. Cold, distant, possessive, protective. "And how have you been? Zeion has also come back... I..."
Arkile sank down onto her bed again next to Roslynn. "I don't know what to do Roslynn. Too much has changed. I know more now." She examined Roslynn. As a sister, as herself from the island... she trusted Roslynn to know about where she was. However, as a vampire queen, as her older self she trusted no one. She was torn between telling her and keeping her promise to Amad. The promise won out. She shut her mouth and left it at that.
