The night was dark, warm and the sky held clouds that threatened horrible storms. Strong winds swept through frequently and they tossed Roslynn's loosely curled hair every which way. She hardly noticed.
Ros had, like many times before, made her way to the lake on the possible stormy night. She loved these storms. She loved watching the lightning and listening to the thunder. She sat at the very edge of the lake and placed her feet in the dull, rippling water.
She knew that there was going to be a storm tonight. All day it had been extremely warm and windy. It also had been darker on one side of the sky. It made the day drag on to long, though, as she was excited for the storm on it's way.
The vampiress laid on her back as rain started to come down. First it came in small sprinkles, than larger drops that came down rapidly. Her black shirt and tight jeans clung to her body, as if they never wanted to come off. Her brown hair was soaked and she was sure that her make-up was everywhere, but she didn't care. She loved these storms to much to care if anyone saw her. And if they did, she didn't care what they thought either.
Ros started to laugh as the rain came down a bit harder. She ran her fingers through her drenched hair and stood up. She held her arms out to her sides and spun in a circle, soaking up the warm water. She felt like she was a small child again, and that any time now, someone would be calling her to come inside. But that voice never came, and she was grateful. She never wanted the rain to stop.
She wondered what her cousins would say if they saw her. She probably didn't strike them as the kind of person to play in the rain like a child, but she loved it.
