It was dark, not pitch black, but night time on the island. Light emanated off the lake from the reflection of the moon because of the lack of cloud cover. It was peaceful, as always, but the area was a mess. An obvious battle had occurred here earlier, which was rare.
Roslynn ignored the sight of the lake and sat at the edge of the water. Her brown Wavy hair hung around her bare pale shoulders. She had on a black strapless dress. She looked into the water as she ran her fingers through it. She saw her reflection and laughed to herself. She was paler than the average person, and yet still wore black regularly. She could be in the sun, but she preferred the night time much more.
She took her fingers from the water and ran them through her hair, she was so glad to be out of her domain. She was sick of all the arguing and quarreling over the stupid siblings. That's all anyone was focused on anymore. Roslynn was now at the point where she wanted the two on her side almost as much as everyone else, just so she could get them all to shut up.
Roslynn leaned back and stretched out on the grass. Yawning, she realized she hadn't really slept for a while. She closed her eyes and let herself drift into a light sleep.
(OOC - yeah. its crap. but i cant start threads to save my life. =] and as you can tell by her falling asleep, i want someone to bother her.=] )

There was a loud thudding sound, followed by a strong, sudden breeze which carried countless leaves across the shore.
Bit rough of a landing... he noted to himself for future reference. A pair of large, dark wings extended from the back of a crouching figure, stretching high and boldly toward the sky. The wind violently played with his clothes and hair before settling down like a passing wave. His eyes reflected neither the light of the moon or stars as they retained an eerie pitch black color.
The water rippled slightly in reaction to the sudden breeze, but soon was restored to it's original stillness. He glanced around quickly before standing to his full 6 feet. He didn't bother to hide his wings, since there seemed to be no one who could possibly be startled by such a creature as himself at this hour. Not that he really cared anyway.
His eyes fell to the ground where he noticed unusual markings and cracks. A battle had occured here, and recently. His eyebrows came together in a slight frown. At the enchanted lake? It had to be serious if it had occured here....nobody fought here without a reason. Actually, nobody fought here period.
His attention was suddenly pulled toward a figure laying in the grass. Although his eyesight really wasn't that special, he could tell by the color of the girl's skin that she was a vampiress. Perhaps it would be better for his own safety to keep his wings in full view...just so as to not be confused for a human....although he knew he could still be considered prey.
He walked toward the girl fearlessly, his serious expression still clear across his face. The soft feathers at the tip of one of his wings gently glided across her jawline and underneath her chin, so as to wake her up but in a gentle manner. Nothing was worse than a cranky vampire.

Roslynn stirred slightly as a breeze swept through the area. She was dreaming that she was falling, and the breeze that had hit her only made it feel more real. In her dream, someone caught her and touched her face gently. Before she had a chance to see who it was, she awoke.
She sat up before opening her eyes, muttering, "Damn. I always wake up before I hit the bottom." She had always wondered if what they said were true. It was said that if your dream lasted until you hit the bottom, you would truly die. But how would anyone truly know the answer to this? Seeing that, if they had reached the bottom and died in real life, they wouldn't be able to tell anyone.
The vampiress, now fully awake, realized that there was someone beside her and she stood quickly yet gracefully. She looked at the man who had obviously woken her up. He was tall, almost a whole foot taller than herself. She could tell by his aura that he was an angel, but his wings were not the usual white of his kind. They were darker. A fallen angel.
"Hello," Roslynn basically purred. Her voice was soft and sweet, yet you could tell there was bitterness behind it. "May I ask why my sleep was interrupted?"

Well at least she hasn't attacked me yet... he thought with some sort of sarcasm. A smirk which seemed unexplained formed itself on his lips as he looked the girl up and down. Well, at least he had woken up an attractive vampiress. He cursed himself for having that thought. He really wasn't that type of guy....usually.
He had completely ignored her first statement...something about hitting the ground. His slight confusion led him to believe that the statement was not important.
"Forgive me miss" his tone was slightly sarcastic. He was clearly being over polite, perhaps just to humor her. He really wasn't like this often, but for some reason, tonight he felt mischevious. "But i was simply wondering if you happen to know what occured here...not so long ago it appears." his right wing made a motion toward the traces of a battle that he had noticed before. He couldn't help but wonder what had happened, and he figured that perhaps a vampiress such as herself might have been involved.

Roslynn raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest as the angle smirked. He had no reason to be smirking, and she was now curious, but she wouldn't ask.
She simply looked up at him as he asked for forgiveness for waking her up. Was he trying to humor her? Seemed it. He motioned to the mess of the place and asked if she knew anything about it. She shook her head and looked around. "No idea. Pity though. There hasn't been anything to eventful in my life lately, and a little action would have been nice."
She smirked as she made her last comment and looked back at him. "So tell me, angel boy, what are you doing out so late?" Roslynn's voice was back to a purr as she circled around him, looking him over. He was tall, and handsome. She could smell the sweet scent of his blood, but she wasn't hungry. So unless he made her mad, she didn't plan on drinking him dry anytime soon.
(ack. sorry its crapp. I don't know whats wrong with me ? haha)

His arms dropped along his sides, and his hands wondered into his pockets. He seemed a bit more relaxed, although her circling actually made him more alert than anything else. The way she was acting was pretty much what he expected out of a vampiress, but he knew perfectly that appearences might not be what they seemed. After all, even though she didn't look hungry, she could be just playing with him.
He felt himself smirk again as she talked about 'action'. Bad thoughts again. What was wrong with him tonight? He even let out the lightest of chuckles, although he immediately repressed it and almost hoped that she didn't notice. But she probably did.
"I'm just wondering around..." he shrugged lightly, but then smiled and decided to add on to humor her again "Hoping to meet a pretty girl here and there who has nothing to do but hang out with some guy". Ok, that was it, there really was something wrong with him. Since when did he flirt with vampiresses? He knew perfectly well they were dangerous....and yet, he was acting....flirty with her. He was confusing himself. "And might I ask what you're doing out late?

Roslynn stopped circling him and stood in front of him now. She heard him chuckle at her comment about action, and she couldn't help but smirk once more. He seemed relaxed and she bit confused on how he was acting, but she reminded herself that he wasn't a regular angel.
"Oh?" She questioned, "I didn't realize that angels wondered around at night. I thought light was more their thing." Roslynn was being sarcastic in a way. If he didn't already know that she could tell he was a fallen angel, he would now.
Then he added on to why he was out, and the corners of her lips curved upward as she realized what he was doing. He was flirting with her. Someone flirting with her wasn't a shock, she was a vampiress. Vampire's beauty and charm beat out most other races'. She laughed mentally as she turned her back to him and walked a few steps.
"I prefer the night. It's much more interesting." Roslynn replied as she turned back around. "That and I couldn't stand being in my domain. No one ever shuts up there any more." She rolled her eyes in disgust as she thought about her last comment. It was true. Everyone always argued about the best course of action for kidnapping anymore. It was getting on her nerves.

"Well let's just say I'm not quite your average angel....being a bad boy is more fun." His play on words, along with his attitude was giving him the most fun he had had in ages. He didn't really understand why he felt so comfortable talking to her like this. Perhaps it was because he didn't know her, that and the combination that she was a vampiress, most likely shocked by nothing. The 'bad boy' comment wasn't really true. He was a strange man, for sure, but he was usually quiet and reserved. This was unusual behavior for him, but who knew, perhaps this was his 'real self' that was coming out for the first time. After all, this attitude was rather pleasing to him...and it seemed at least that it was pleasing her as well.
She noticed she stopped circling. He wondered why, but didn't really read into it much. She sure felt relaxed around him, turning her back on him. But surely she thought that as a vampiress, she was stronger than him. Well....that might be true...might. She obviously knew what he was, but he had the feeling she was underestimating him. Hopefully though, he wouldn't have to resort to possibly prooving her wrong...and even more hopefully, he wouldn't have to witness her powers. The encounter seemed to be going rather well so far.
"I'm sure it is" he said "of course, you would know much more about the night than I do. Interesting....apart from meeting some random guy?" now he was just teasing her, perhaps even trying to get something out of her. He couldn't help but laugh again, but at himself this time. Of course, the difference couldn't be noticed.
"So...you like silence eh?" that was understandable. He never liked crowds much, and only exposed himself to them if he needed to. And what better place to come than the enchanted lake to seek such silence? He should've assumed that earlier. Perhaps waking her up wasn't the best idea after all. Was that what she was trying to say? No wait...he was reading way too far into this. Well she didn't seem mad or anythign.
He kept his hands in his pockets and slipped off his shoes. He then walked over to the edge of the water and stood there, allowing the water to gently wash over his feet. It was frigid of course, but he didn't really care. His dark wings stretched to their full length.
He thought about what she had said. Her domain. Did she just mean the vampire Kingdom? Or more than that. He began to suspect that she wasn't any ordinary vampiress. "So, you live in the vampire Kingdom..." well obvious, but he was trying to see if his suspicions were correct.

Roslynn raised an eyebrow at his remark about being a 'bad boy'. "I figured you weren't like others, but a 'bad boy', eh? Oh please do go on. I know you're a fallen angel, care to tell me why exactly?" She knew that most fallen angels didn't like to be asked why they were. But that's why she asked. And also because many of the stories were quite interesting.
She nodded when he made the comment about her knowing more about the night than he. Of course she did. The night was were she belonged. He on the other hand, probably knew more about the day than she, it was just how things worked.
She took a few graceful steps toward him as he made a remark about meeting a random guy. She smirked seductively. "Random guys taste the best," she purred again. Of course she was only kidding, she wasn't a bit hungry, but he didn't know that.
Roslynn nodded when he asked if she liked silence and watched as he walked to the water's edge. "Most of the time. Sometimes a bit of noise is needed." The fact that he seemed to relaxed around her set her on the edge. He should be at least a little tense around her. Then again, maybe he was, and was just very skilled at hiding it.
Then he asked if she lived in the vampire kingdom. This was a some what touchy subject. Complete strangers didn't need to know the whole story, but she felt like talking. "Yes. I had been exiled, but it wasn't for a long time. And, of course, it was because of nothing I did. My father was an ass and needed someone to blame." Her tone had been a bit low as she spoke, but it picked up as she continued. "But he's dead now. And my sister allowed me back in. She's no longer around now, however, and now I live with my cousins. In the castle."

Remi laughed. He didn't really think she believed what he had said about being a bad boy, but who knew. And maybe he was a heart...although he doubted it. She asked about his being a fallen angel. It was true, he wasn't really one to talk about that, and tonight was no exception. "How about we save that til we know each other a little better huh?" he tried to be curtious and charming about it. He didn't want to be impolite, but he didn't want to say too much about himself either.
He smirked again as she came close and purred near him. He watched her from the corner of his eyes at first, but then turned slightly to face her more. Then he leaned in so that his face was close to hers, and he couldn't help but widen his smile. "So, I suppose you wouldn't be interested in my blood. I heard fallen angels didn't taste so good. You sure you're interested?" he knew she was joking. He figured she would've already bit him if that was what she was after. But maybe she was still playing with him. He didn't know vampires that well, having only met one or two in his life. But he had been told, at least in their opinion, about the experiences of such creatures.
He tried to return to his regular, rather serious expression as she began speaking of the castle. So she did live there. He was suprised he had actually gotten it right. Sort of. He assumed the cousins she was reffering to were the royal family. Probably the youngest one's. It sounded though she had had a rough life too. He felt relieved for some reason to hear her relationship to the royal family. He couldn't figure out why though.
"So I take it you're not crazy about the castle life?"if she was spending time here to 'get away', it couldn't be that great. He couldn't imagine living in a castle.

She crossed her arms over her chest when he said they would talk about why he was fallen later. She didn't like waiting. Roslynn was a very impatient person at times when she was interested. And she was interested at the moment, but she'd get it out of him sooner or later. "Speaking of getting to know each other better, what's your name angel boy?"
He then turned to face her and brought his face closer to hers. She smirked as his smile widened and he remarked about how fallen angels didn't taste good. "Are you sure about that?" She asked as she ran her tongue over her fangs. "All I'm saying is, don't tempt me." As she spoke, she leaned in even closer and basically breathed the words onto his lips.
Roslynn then leaned back away from him and laughed. She was basically toying with him. This kind of thing was second nature to her. And she enjoyed almost every second of it.
"Oh don't get me wrong, being a princess isn't all that bad. Getting your way most of the time has it's perks. It's just the 'duty' that comes with it. Namely, getting a hold of those two brats."
( sorry it took so long. I was watching house. =])

He laughed "Angel boy huh? Well...suprisingly, that's a new one" he smiled. Usually, the nicknames given to him were more derogatory than that, but he wasn't complaining. "Remi...but I like Angel boy better"
"Well it'll be so difficult not to tempt you. After all, the more time you spend with a vampire, the more you're likely to tempt them....and I'm not ready to leave just quite yet" He was definately enjoying the physical closeness that he suprisingly felt rather comfortable with in her presence. Who could say they actually felt comfortable when a vampiress was licking her teeth about an inch away from their face? He knew it was all a game, but he was having more fun with it than he could have ever expected.
Two brats. He had heard of them, or at least a rumor of them. He had never really cared about the strange and often violent politics between the different Kingdoms in the triangle, and although he was slightly suprised at the mention of them, he remembered that she was of vampire royalty, and they were problably after the twins. He couldn't have cared less what the vampire royalty was up to, as long as he had nothing to do with it, but he had to admit, he began to wander whether the clear traces of a battle on this shore might have been due to the rising rumor that the twins were alive, and had been exposed.
He was caught in a moment of silence as he thought for a bit. His eyes briefly wandered to the ground upon which he stood, only to revert back to the vampiress before him. "Well then, I hope you can relinquish a night of frustrating duties for a nice evening with a guy you don't even know... and maybe even to go for a swim." he had a mischevious grin on his face again. His wings dissapeared into his back and in a swift movement, he picked her body up with ease and ran straight into the water.

Roslynn was amused by the fact that he liked the nickname she had given him. Most men cringed any time she would call them by the nickname she had given them. Maybe it wasn't the name, exactly. It was most likely the way she said it.
She shrugged at his comment about not being ready to leave just yet. "Alright then. But if I suddenly feel the need to drink my fill, and your the only one around, then don't blame it on me." She said this, knowing it wouldn't happen though. And she was sure he knew she wasn't going to do it as well.
She still felt a bit nervous around him, but didn't let it show. She mentally questioned why he wasn't nervous around her. She was a vampire. He should be at least a little tense around her. Or maybe she wasn't as nerve racking as she thought she were? Roslynn mentally hit herself, of course she was. She had seen many other men shaking in front of her once they realized what she was.
Ros stopped thinking about it when he started talking again. Did he say swim? Before she questioned him, he had picked her up and ran into the water. Oh no, she thought to herself.
Before they gotten to far into the water she managed to get out of hims arms. She was up to her waist in the lake, but knew it got much deeper. She disliked the water. Fact was, she couldn't swim. But she wouldn't let him know that. "Oh swimming, how fun. You should have told me ahead of time, I would have brought my bikini." Roslynn said sarcastically.
She fixed her dress which was now weighed down with water and starting to slide a bit since it had no straps. She didn't move from where she stood. It was almost as if the water paralyzed her in a way, but then again, not quite. She cursed herself for not having learned how to swim in her life. She should have just got in the water instead of sun bathing anytime she had gone with her friends to the beach.

He felt her slip out of his arms. He expected as much, but that didn't stop him from diving full speed into the water. He remained under for a bit before coming back up. He was already over his head but slowly made his way back to where she was standing. He couldn't help but smirk again.
"I'm sorry" he pouted, bringing a light finger to lift her chin up slightly so he could take in her expression, which for some reason really pleased him "Did I upset my favorite vampire princess?" it was then he realized he didn't even know her name although she knew his. He would have to remember to ask, or he would have to give her a nickname too. Vamp girl? nah...too strange.
"Now don't tell me you don't want to go for a swim with me" he tried to look and sound dissapointed, and although he was somewhat, he was having more fun watching her right then and there. He just couldn't explain it. He was making himself nervous by the lack of nervousness he had around her. He hadn't even hesitated to pick her up, although he figured he probably should have thrown her into the water. He would probably not have done that with most girls, especially one he didnt' know at all.
"Well...maybe I should've told you. I'm sure you look fantastic in a bikini." Now he was definately toying with her, although he was sure it was true. "So what's your name, princess?" he finally asked.

Roslynn let her arms fall to her sides, shivering as she felt the water rise to just below her elbows. She looked at Remi as he surfaced and walked up to her. Was he smirking? Could he tell she was uncomfortable? Once again, she mentally slapped herself, Stop it! He doesn't know and he won't know unless you give it away somehow. Which you will end up doing if you keep thinking he does know.
He lifted her chin and she averted her gaze at first. She then looked back at him, "Favorite?" She asked curiously. "Have you met others?" She was once again being sarcastic because she knew he most likely hadn't.
She shook her head at his question, and tried to play his question off in a jokingly manner as well. "Of course I would love to swim with you. Sadly, however, I just ate not to long ago. You know the rule about waiting an hour after you eat." She smirked and was extremely thankful for her ability to think of false remarks quickly.
"I'm sure I do, too," Roslynn replied, a little cocky, "but we will just have to find that out some other time now won't we?" Shit, she cursed herself. She hoped he didn't take that as her wanting to swim again in the future, although he probably would.
She almost scowled when he called her 'princess', not really thinking about how he had meant it. She disliked it when guys called her pet names, but then realized he had only said it because she was one. "Roslynn. You can call me Ros if you'd like though."
