Just when Manny thought he was safe, the demonesses were attacking again. One of them had gone after Razier and it looked pretty bad. Before he had the chance to even say something he was on the ground and had a heavy boot placing an uncomfortable pressure on his chest. “Don’t tell her anything,” Manuelle said lowly to his sister as she was being held around her neck. Suddenly he realized that if Marielle didn’t speak, he could end up dead.
He watched silently out of the corner of his eye as the scene before him unfolded. This fight was nasty and unlike anything he had ever seen before. He hadn’t even seen boys fight this badly. He saw that Razier had come over and tried to help him but it was of no use. The demoness still stood upon his chest. He heard her threaten Marielle again and before he knew it her hair was burning. This all seemed so crazy to him.
“No! Stay away from me,” Manny yelled as Ace grabbed him from her sister. He was to afraid to acknowledge the pain in his arms from her pull. This demoness was too strong for him and as she began slicing through his skin with her claws there was nothing he could do to stop her. Manuelle screamed out in pain as she slammed her hand into his chest. He didn’t know if anything was broken but he felt as if he were dying.
Manny never cried. Ever. But the pain was so unbearable that tears began to flow freely from his eyes and over his cheeks. He could feel the blood leaving his body and rolling down his skin and he felt as if he were going to die on this day. If dying was what it took to make the pain end then he was ready for it. As if on cue he began to feel as if he were on fire. He could even see the flames and feel the excruciating heat all over him. His legs jerked uncontrollably as he screamed.
The flames had suddenly stopped but the insufferable pain had engulfed him. He could hear people saying things around him but couldn’t make sense of any of it. His vision had become a big blur of color and he was slowly beginning to feel the earth move beneath him. The last thing he felt was being lifted into the air. Then he blacked out completely, laying limp and unconscious.
OoC: poor manny. I'm away for the school day and when I come home he's had the crap beat out of him. No worries. One day, Manuelle will get his revenge. Mwuahahahaha!

Ace saw the elf queen run to her children. Before she could stop her she'd lifted them into the air with her. Ace growled and stood, moving towards them. Not more than a few steps later the ground began to shake.
It grew more violent as she moved forward. She lunged, jumping high enough to latch onto the elf's legs. She casually clawed her way up with a devilish smirk. "Come now, did you think it'd be that easy?" She laughed and punched with her claws out right into the elf's chest.
She wouldn't be thrown away by the wind a second time. She made sure to latch on with her legs as she brought up her other hand to grab the elf queen by the hair. She focused her magic of illusion on her again, but this time not with fire as the pain... this time she chose drowning. She envisioned the elf queen being pulled down into the depths of the nearby lake. She included every detail of how she got there too from the air... She wouldn't forget anything about that. She wanted it to seem as real as possible.
She picture the water entering her lungs and soaking into them, suffocating the queen. She felt the feeling of oxygen deprivation herself for a moment as she worked on transferring it to the woman. Ace could be cruel... and drowning was a slow and torturous way to die. Maybe that was why she was drawing so much pleasure from trying it out.
((blah. sorry that was such crap.))

Marielle saw Razier motion for her to come over to her. She hesitated at first, and then went to but was swept their faster by someone who had recently arrived.
The same woman who had carried her there then said something about being their mother. No. This woman couldn't be their birth mother, could she? Mari looked nothing like her. Neither did Manny. They looked like their parents back home. Everyone else back in the real world thought so too. Mari couldn't possibly be related to an elf. After all, she hadn't even known they were real until recently.
Mari shook her head and snapped out of her thoughts. She didn't have time to think about that. She crawled over to Manny. He didn't look so good, and the wounds she had some how managed to heal had been replaced with deeper ones. She wasn't sure if she could fix this, he was bleeding badly.
She was somehow lifted in the air along with Manny and the elven woman. She was still close to Manny and could tell he had gone unconscious by how limp he was. "Oh no." She placed her hands on his new wounds. She could at least try to close them so he wouldn't loose any more blood.
Mari's fingertips tingled and glowed as she managed to close a few of the smaller cuts, but she had more trouble with the larger ones. Then Ace jumped on the woman that was holding them up. "Not good." Mari whispered to herself. "Manny, Manny, please wake up! Please! I can't lose you. I can't!" She turned to see that Ace was doing something weird and wasn't exactly sure what it was. All she was sure of was that if something happened to the elven woman, they would fall and Manny would be hurt worse than he already was.
Marielle jumped onto Ace and tried to distract her from whatever she was doing. She shook her violently and called out to Razier, "Razier! Help! Do something!" But then she realized Razier was already doing something, creating an earthquake. But that wasn't going to stop Ace who was currently suspended in the air.

occ: k here we go
ic:
Arinada felt the grasp on her legs, and tried to kick Ace off, but it didn't work. The claws dug into her skin, and she heard the demoness's remark. "Who said anything...about easy...?" she responded through her teeth.
And then the claws were suddenly in her chest, and Arinada screamed, louder than she ever had before. The pain spread itself throughout her body, travelling in her veins as her heart pumped frantically to keep them full even while the blood was flowing freely from multiple wounds. Ace grabbed her waist-length, fiery red hair--Arinada cursed herself for having left it down and flowing freely--and her face was forced skyward. Then the illusions started again, and they weren't of fire this time--no, now it was water. Arinada had never been strong with water; it was her weakest element. She wasn't prepared for this.
She tried to remember her training, of how to battle the illusions--she'd taught herself how to evade powers like Ace's, though the demoness's were more formidable than she'd ever come across before. More cruel. Concentrate on your surroundings, she told herself, and immediately thought of the pain, the excruciating pain etching scars into her mind like a knife blade. She kept her eyes open, and forced her head to bend against Ace's pull and look down at the ground, which was rolling and breaking everywhere. Razi...
"RAZI!" Arinada had enough energy to release but one anguished cry for help, before she concentrated again on keeping Manny and Mari afloat, while struggling against Ace's mental and physical claws. The illusion was gaining power, but the pain was always there, and Arinada thought only of it, and of her children, and even though she saw the illusion, and even felt like she was drowning, Arinada just kept telling herself it wasn't real. She could tell because this amount of pain came from wounds of the flesh, not slow and arduous asphyxiation.
Arinada opened her mouth wide and sucked in air as much as she could; it felt like water, which was utterly terrifying, but she just kept telling herself: It's not real...it's not real...you're breathing, not drowning...it's not real...
It's not real.

((Slightly godmoding Ace. I have permission.))
Razier could feel a burning sensation building up in her left arm. She tried to push the pain aside as it was effecting how much power she could send out at once. The earth shaking around her managed to keep her attention fairly easily though.
Suddenly she heard a cry from Arinada and turned to see the demon princess clawing her way up her. Razier moved her right hand in her direction and the vines which had held Nolwenn released her to attack Ace. They wrapped around her and yanked her off, flinging her into the forest against a tree.
She waited to see if she got up, but she didn't right away so Razier took the initiative. She stood shakily and summoned enough of her magic to break the ground more. She even brought trees toppling down onto the demons. The ground shook more violently than before. It jerked and rolled, tossing even Razier to the ground, something that had never happened to her before.
Waves of magic poured out from the epicenter which was the guardian. The Earth rose in cliffs and sank in crevices. Everything was broken apart. "Arinada, go!" She said, motioning toward the far end on the lake and the protection of the forest. She scrambled to her feet the best she could and tried to stay up as the earth continued to jolt around her. She'd stay behind to hold off the demons until Arinada and the siblings were safe.
((Sorry that was such crap...))

...Damn...
Ace would have to help herself this time, but Nolween expected no less of her. She occasionally glanced in her direction for the occasional update of the situation, but overall, she as focused on the strength of these vines, and whether they could hold on through this earthquake. But even with their help, she was still being shook up. She could feel the fire within her as she readied herself for the use of her powers, and somehow, that familiar feeling comforted her and gave her confidence....not that she needed any really. She was not too worried, although it was clear that this earthquake was intense, even by Razier's standards....she was stumbling all over the place.
Perhaps that could be worked to her advantage.
But no, Razier had to ruin her trail of thought. She felt the vine's grip slack. Not good. And by the look of the ground at that moment, it was not a good place to fall on. Here eyes were now brighter than ever. As soon as she felt her weight pull downward, she pushed her hand in a downward motion, her palms facing the ground and a large ball of fire formed beneath her feet. The strength of the blast pushed her upward until her feeth touched upon something solid, the top of a falling tree, from which she could use her own leg strength to propell herself far enough that she could stand still for a moment.
"That's enough" she said, determined. The ground shook rather violently beneath her, and cracks were forming, but at the distance she was at --she couldn't even see the group through the trees--, it didn't bother her so much. By the direction of the cracks in the ground, she could pinpoint relatively accurately, she thought, the location of it's center --Razier of course--.
She breathed in deeply and closed her eyes, placing her hands together, and with a quick turn of her body in order to give herself momentum, she threw ahead of her yet another large ball of fire which plowed through the forest in the direction she was sure her target was placed.

((silly, it's "ooc" not "occ" haha XP))
Arinada had started coughing; the feeling of water going down her throat instead of air was just too realistic. She knew, she knew it wasn't real, but that stopped helping her overcome it. She was going to drown in her own imagination...but then it stopped. The return of the pain overwhelmed her for a moment, but Arinada couldn't have been happier, given the situation. Ace was no longer stuck to her, she wasn't drowning, just bleeding a lot. That could be remedied later.
She came back to herself upon hearing Razier's shout, telling her to go. Arinada looked down and was frightened to find that her altitude--as well as the altitude of Mari and Manny--had gotten much smaller in the past few minutes. They were lucky they hadn't touched the ground yet. And Razier was being rocked and rolled by her own earthquake, which meant it was incredibly powerful.
Time to take her friend's advice and go; Razi could take care of herself, but Manny and Mari, at the moment, definitely couldn't. I'm not doing too great myself, she thought, looking down at herself and grimacing at the amount of blood she'd lost.
Arinada closed her eyes for a moment and concentrated on energy: the energy she still had left inside her, along with the energy in the air around her. She harnessed as much as she could, and launched herself and her son and daughter to the other side of the lake. Thank goodness Razier could contain her earthquakes. She glanced back to see Nolwenn rocketing herself toward Razi, and with a pang realized that she really wanted to be there, fighting alongside her long time friend and ally.
Then Arinada looked to her right, where Manuelle and Marielle floated nearby, and knew this was where she had to be.
As gently as possible, the elf lowered the other two onto the ground--being especially careful with Manny. She barely had enough energy to stay awake, most of which originated as willpower. To herself Arinada whispered, "Thank God we're out of there," before collapsing onto the ground. She felt slight tremors shake the ground beneath them, side effects of Razier's magic. Rolling onto her side, Arinada had stabs of pain pierce her all over her body, up her legs and arms, and especially in her chest, where Ace had penetrated the deepest.
((*sigh* crappyy...ish...))

Razier was glad to see Arinada take off with her children. She was distracted by it so long though that she didn't notice the fireball coming toward her. When she spotted it she tried to put up a wall of earth to intercept it, but she was too late. It slammed into her and she felt herself skid across the ground several feet.
She could feel the flames engulfing her and immediately covered herself in dirt. She was buried at least two feet under, but the flames were out. Razier felt like crying, but she never would. There was no time for it. She pushed herself out of the dirt with much effort and cursed at the pain. She then sent out one final shockwave right in the direction the fireball had come from. "Don't f*ck around with me, Nolwenn. This fight is over!" She said to herself.
Along with the shockwave she sent plants to attack Nolwenn however they could. Just so that she'd be held off. Razier needed to tend to Arinada, Marielle, and Manuelle. Thinking of them she started jogging to where she sensed them and sighed as she saw them Arinada and Manuelle both useless, Manuelle because he was unconcious, Arinada because she was in pain. She chuckled a little and called on vines to pick them up for her. "Come on." She said to Marielle, picking her up herself.
"Follow me." With that she headed for the temple, ignoring the pain of her actions.
((move the thread should we? and I hope that didn't godmod too much, but I figured everyone had to be moved somehow right? and Razier can't carry three people.))
