Flee today with me and we can hide
Until they want you
Where the strange creatures play
In mystic caves of strength, disassociate
Seal my fate, seal my, seal your
Until they eat their own young
This is a lonely war tonight and I'm forsaken
Are you a lonely one, too? oh
This is a lonely war tonight, the soldier's waking
They were the lonely ones, too
Razier didn't end up going home, instead she headed for the beach. As her bare feet touched the soft white sand she stopped a moment and scanned the shore to her left and then to her right. It was empty for now so she continued further out, testing the waters and finding them warm. She spotted some rocks and climbed onto them, allowing the ocean spray to wash over her as waves broke upon her new found sanctuary.
It wasn't often that Razier came to the beach. Something about look out across endless water... knowing there was somewhere out there that housed the possible downfall of her world... she just couldn't stand it. Now that the siblings were back on the island though she was able to look out there and wish that they were across the waters instead of near her home. They would ruin everything.
She didn't care if they could save the island. In order to do so they would have to cost more people their lives. Razier didn't want to see anyone else die. Not that she could stop it. Razier had no rights in this matter. She was made the guardian of the children just like she was made the head guardian of the temple, just like she lost her parents... without anyone asking her what she wanted.
The siblings complained about how they weren't asked to come here, how they were just dragged to the island and thrown into this mess... but they didn't even think about the fact that maybe others were involuntarily brought into this situation too. Or that they were the cause of it. Granted, Razier hadn't exactly explained things perfectly... but how could she without crying or beating the shit out of someone? Her parents were dead because of those brats.
Leave your stain and love my wounds tonight
Leave like they all do
Where the strange creatures play
In this game so fake with a reprobate
Seal our fate, seal our, seal your
Till we eat our own young
This is a lonely war tonight and I'm forsaken
Are you a lonely one, too? oh
This is a lonely war tonight, the soldier's waking
They were the lonely ones, too
They had no right to complain about being taken away from friends and who they thought was family. Those people weren't dead! Razier's parents were dead. They could go back and see their parents, hug their parents... whenever they wanted once this whole mess was fixed. Razier... Razier sighed and looked away from the water, bowing her head. She could feel the salty spray weighing her hair down.
Running her fingers through the strands she drew her knees up to her chin and sat silently, breathing evenly and trying to calm down. With any luck she wouldn't survive the coming war. Razier didn't know if she could take any more of this, anymore of being told and not asked. Especially as she doubted the siblings would be good for anything. They weren't willing to attempt to help out.
Which meant their powers would probably be unlocked on accident and cause major casualties. It also meant if their power was wild and out of control that those that wished to harm the island and it's inhabitants would have a better time taking it and using it to their own ends. Razier knew she should try to start training them, but she could do nothing if they didn't want it. She wouldn't... She couldn't do that to them even if they were the cause of her problems.
She knew she was supposed to do whatever it took to get them to comply... but... she doubted she could force anyone's hand to do anything. After all, she knew quite well how it felt.
