Aiden smirked into the pillows, and heard her coming toward him. As soon as he felt her hands on him, pushing him, he let go of resistance and allowed her to shove him off. He was going to get her back, of course...and she presented the perfect opportunity. He watched from the floor while she took his position of sprawled across the bed with a mischievous grin. He shook his head while she made herself comfortable; this was just too easy.
He stood in one fluid movement and took a couple strides over to the bed, remaining completely silent the whole time. Then he pounced on her, keeping some of his weight off her with his hands but still basically lying on top of her. Slowly and gently, he allowed the rest of his weight to rest on top of her--the only reason he hadn't done so before was to keep from really hurting her.
Aiden adjusted his position slightly so that he could rest his head on the pillow next to hers, which allowed him to nestle his face into some of her hair and inhale her sweet scent again. He sighed contentedly and muttered, "Now this is comfortable."
He was very, very aware of her body beneath his own; it was almost awkward to think of the position he was in, but he didn't think of it like that. Aiden felt the warmth of desire smoldering in his stomach, sure enough, but he was reluctant to act on it. He didn't want to alienate her. She was the one to kiss me first, though, he remembered, starting a brief debate with himself.
What's a guy to do? he questioned himself, but finding an answer--at least at the moment--was futile. He just needed another minute to think...

Lilly let out a small gasp when she realized he was on top of her. She started laughing as he snuggled his face into the pillows and her hair. "Now this is comfortable." She shook her head slightly and tried not to laugh. "Well I'm glad you're comfortable." She poked him repeatedly, hoping for some effect. She herself was extremely ticklish but she doubted that he would be.
Lilly tried to keep her mind straight, but it was a useless effort. Her heart was racing at the feeling of his body on top of hers. She could feel every muscle of his. She bit her lip and shut her eyes, trying to compose herself. Don't do anything rash she warned herself. You've already had enough excitement for one night...
Lilly opened her eyes once more and peaked at Aiden. His head was right by hers, nestled in her hair and the pillows. Her blood pumped quickly through her veins. If he moved just right, his lips would meet her neck...and then all hopes of remaining composed would be lost. She ran her tongue nervously across her lip and bit it again.
That was when she got an idea. She smirked mischieviously and timed it just right. Then, without warning, she moved quickly and flipped Aiden so that now she was the one on top of him. She laughed as she looked down at him, but blushed as she realized she was practically straddling him. "Ha. Let's see you get out of this." She smiled triumphantly at him, thinking herself dominant...at least for the time being.
Lilly looked at him, trying to hide the emotion in her eyes. She had hopes that he would kiss her; she really wanted to kiss him. But she didn't want to push...they had only known each other for a day. She smiled sweetly at him as she leaned closer, supporting herself with her hands on either side of him. "Well? I'm waiting," she said with a slight flirtacious/teasing tone.

His train of thought almost went of the track when her racing heart began pounding in his ears; the speedy rush of her blood made the scent more profound. He didn't even notice the poking. Giving up on thinking, Aiden decided he'd let her make the first move, and began completely spacing out, wrapping his mind in the elation that came with her scent's drug-like effects. He wasn't hungry, so he wouldn't attack, but it was tempting to put his mouth on her neck...
Before he could so much as move from such a comfortable position, he felt himself being spun around, which added to the dizzying euphoria of her presence. Aiden suddenly found that she was looking down at him, and he stared back in some confusion. Then he noticed her blush, while her playful laughter and voice reached his ears. She was speaking as if she had him defeated.
"Oh, what shall I do," he feigned a helpless whine, "with a weak mortal pinning me down? However will I overpower her?" Then he locked his gaze on hers, and saw all the emotion and desire there; the expression seemed to match his own feelings. The sweet smile and flirtacious tone of her next "impatient' statement, in his mind, gave him permission to do as he pleased, as long as he didn't overdo it.
He rolled his eyes in exaggerated exasperation and smirked up at her. "Oh, that's right, I'm a vampire, who is much stronger than you." In a flash he'd flipped her over, pinning her to the bed at the wrists with his hands and at the legs with his own. His deep brown eyes gleamed with mischief, with a small twinkle of desire in the background.
Aiden lowered his head and, beginning at her collarbone, slowly trailed soft kisses up her neck, across the underside of her chin, and along her jawbone until he was touching the delicate skin just beneath her ear with cool, soft lips. Then he brought his face back so that it was level with hers and, after holding her gaze hypnotically for a moment, closed his eyes and gently pressed his lips against hers.

Lilly tried not to laugh at his attempt of a whine. "You sound like the little boy I babysit sometimes," she teased him. Lilly stuck her tongue out at him when he called her a weak mortal. "Hey I resent that." She watched as he rolled his eyes and let out a small giggle when he smirked as well. Just as she was about to say something, she found herself being flipped over. She laughed again and stared up at Aiden.
She soon fell quiet when her eyes locked with his, mischief and....desire? She opened her mouth to say something but was silenced as he lowered his head to her neck. Lilly gasped quietly at the feeling of his lips on her throat. A tiny fear raced in her head but she quickly hid it. She trusted Aiden...besides this was definetly not an act of violence.
Lilly's eyes shut and her heart hammered in her chest as he continued to trail kisses all the way up her neck and across her jawbone. She bit her lip again and tried to keep her mind focused. It was useless. She opened her eyes slowly when she felt an absense. Aiden was looking down at her and like before...he had her captivated.
Lilly lost herself in those deep brown eyes until he closed his and pressed his lips to hers. Her eyes immediately grew heavy as she lost herself in the kiss. She trailed her hands up his arms until they were around his neck. She eagerly kissed him back, gently pulling him closer to her. He's such a good kisser compared to Bobby she thought to herself as she recalled her very first kiss.
Another thought crossed her mind. She smirked against Aiden's lips and tried not to laugh. She could only imagine what Natalie would do if she walked in right now. Oh God that would be bad, she thought. Lilly's thoughts drifted again as she continued kissing Aiden. Who would have thought her night would have turned out like this?

A single thought, blurred slightly but still there, drifted across his mind: I'm definitely going insane.
He'd relinquished his grip on her wrists, and now felt her hands travelling up his arms until they'd encircled his neck. Aiden allowed himself to be pulled closely--for that was exactly what he wanted--and shifted so that he was straddling her and his weight was being held up by one bent arm. The hand attached to that arm managed to ensnare itself in her dark hair. His other hand was then free to slide down the right side of her figure, stopping at her slim waist.
Her lips were warm and inviting, and Aiden returned her eagerness, kissing her with exponential growth of force and passion during the passing of a few minutes. He felt her warmth seeping into his eternally cold body, and welcomed the sensation; her heart was still racing, the sound resounding in his ears; he could smell the addition of adrenaline coursing through her blood; his fingers tingled where they touched her waist and hair, even though he felt no skin; and he relished the taste of her mouth.
All five of his senses were thus tangled up in her presence.
Somewhere in his mind, he vaguely registered the feel of her smirking against his lips. 'Why did she?' was a question he felt too "high" to answer, but he did make the realization that her friend was still downstairs. Maybe Lilly was thinking about what might happen if her friend discovered them...Aiden was too caught up in her to register anything else beyond their little bubble of existence, so he wouldn't be able to hear the friend coming up the stairs if she did again.
Oh well, then, he mentally shrugged, and let his thoughts go back to Lilly once more.

Lilly felt her heart continue to pound in her chest, especially when Aiden shift and was now straddling her. One of his hands was running through her hair, driving her absolutely mad while the other was on her waist. It took all her will power not to turn to mush right then and there. He was definetly one hell of a kisser. Her mind was blank at his touch, her whole body tingling at his presence.
Lilly realized that they had been going at it for a little while now and gently pulled away from him breathing heavily. He may not need to breathe but she sure did. She lay under him breathless for two reasons; lack of oxygen and him. She smiled at Aiden and leaned up to kiss his cheek before she gently rolled out from beneath him.
"I just need to catch my breath," she said and walked over towards the window. She took deep breaths and tried to control her racing heart. She wondered if it bothered Aiden, if it would provoke him in any way. At least he isn't like Edward in this departament she thought and couldn't stop a small giggle or smile from gracing her face. She looked back at Aiden.
She smiled again and walked back over to the bed and sat down. She curled up against him and rested her head on his chest. She was waiting to hear his heart to see if it was racing as well but then she foolishly remembered that he had no heartbeat. She leaned her head up so that she could look at him. "Is it weird not having a heartbeat?" she wondered aloud to herself.

Truthfully, Aiden was rather shocked when, all of a sudden, he found himself kissing air. Naturally this only lasted a moment; with a few of his senses back into commission, he realized (with no small disappointment) that she'd pulled away. He opened his eyes and looked down to find her breathless, and remembered that she had to breathe. Couldn't she just use her nose? he wondered, but pushed the thoughts aside. Who was he to be ungrateful that he'd been able to kiss her for a few minutes?
He reluctantly allowed her to roll out from under him, wondering if, not only could she not breathe, she just didn't want to kiss him anymore. He laid down on his side and listened to her excuse almost passively; he couldn't help but smirk at the fact that he'd had such an effect on her. Aiden seriously doubted she would ever know the depth of her affect on him--even with some distance between them, he could still hear her racing heart.
He was incredibly glad when she came back and curled up against him, letting her head rest on his chest. While he was busy slipping an arm around her, her question took him by suprise.
Aiden wasn't entirely sure if she was just musing or actually asking him, but, after looking away from her and at the window (since it was the first thing that caught his eye) for a moment, he decided to answer. "At first, it definitely is," he said quietly, "After a while you start to get used to it. The only time I ever really think of it now is when I'm glad it doesn't work because I'd be blushing otherwise."
Hoping to coax her into kissing more--and because he just felt like it--Aiden gave her his best lopsided smile, and ran his free hand through her hair, staring deep into her eyes. He was truly and unconditionally happy, an emotion that hadn't graced him since he became a vampire until the night before, when he'd first received a kiss from Lilly. Thank the gods I decided not to kill her, he mused absently, too focused on her to really give the matter much thought.

Lilly listened as he told her. She realized that his delay in answer may have been a result of catching him off guard. She blushed in embarrassment and looked away. "Sorry...I was just curious. I can be pretty inquisitive so sometimes I don't know when to keep my mouth shut." She had to smile when he said he would be blushing otherwise and looked back at him. "Aww, I bet you would look adorable if you blushed," she said sweetly. Lilly watched as he gave her a lopsided grin and ran his hand through her hair. She smiled at him as he stared at her and decided to have a little fun. "Uh uh buddy. You aren't getting me that easy." Lilly smirked at him and leaned up to kiss his cheek before sitting up. She wondered what Aiden would do and mused that it would be quite amusing. She smiled innocently again at him before she stood up and walked over to the window. Lilly turned around so her back was facing Aiden. She knew that if he gave her that lopsided grin, or a puppy eyed pout, she would go right back to his arms. She couldn't let him always be in control. She had to have some too. She stared out the window and out to the streets again. T hey were pretty much empty except for a few animals here and there. Lily wondered to herself why she hadn't taken the time too pay attention to her village. It was beautiful when the stars were out like this, bathing her home in a relaxing glow. Her mind turned back to Aiden quickly as she waited for his next move. (((ahhh sorry it sucks. muse is dying )))

"It's okay," he replied to her curiosity comment, "We can't all be perfect. You come close enough that I can deal with one or two flaws. And," he added with a grin, "There is nothing cute about me blushing. It only means I'm nervous or embarassed, so I prefer that no one else knows when I'm feeling like that."
His smile turned into a confused frown and his eyebrows came close to meeting when she deterred him. Aiden watched as she got up again and walked over to the window, telling him he wouldn't "get her" with so little effort.
He simply watched her stand there for a minute, allowing her some gaze-out-the-window time whilst he hatched a plan to break her resistance. Then, utilizing his very favorite talent--making absolutely no noise whatsoever--Aiden slid off the bed and strode across the room to just behind where Lilly stood.
Aiden touched his fingers to her shoulders, then slowly slid them down the edges of her back, tracing her curves with as much care as he could manage. When he'd reached her waist, he remembered that she was ticklish, and decided to exact a little revenge. First he snaked his arms around her stomach so that she was pretty much trapped. He whispered in her ear playfully, "Well then tell me, just how much effort will it take to get you to kiss me some more?"
And, for the revenge bit of the plan, Aiden began pinching and poking at her ticklish spots--and there was virtually no way for her to escape.
((*gives your muse CPR* come on, wake up, don't die on me!! what will my muse do without you?!))

Lilly stood contemplating and didn't even hear Aiden come up behind her. Was she that lost in her thoughts? Then she remembered it was one of his special abilities to be silent. She grinned slightly but didn't turn around. She felt his fingers at her shoulders, then moving slowly down her body. Boy did she have to bite her lip for that one. Her skin flamed at his touch, almost leaving her breathless again.
Her eyes closed as she relaxed slightly in his arms, one of them snaked around her wrist. He whispered playfully in her ear causing her to smile. "Well I guess you'll just have to figure that out now won't you?" she teased back. That was when he started poking her. She started squirming in his arms, trying to break free but it was pretty much useless. "Ahhh not....fair!!" she said between laughs.
Tears started to form in her eyes and her stomach muscles tightened a great deal. Just as she got to the point where she felt her insides would burst, she surrendered. "Ok ok ok!! Stop! Stop!" she cried as she raised her hands in defeat. "You win."
She turned around so she could face him and smiled. She took deep breaths as she tried to stop her laughter, a few giggles escaping here and there. She leaned up and kissed both cheeks before grinning at Aiden once more. "There. I kissed you. That's all you get because that wasn't fair. I can't do that to you," she teased him, wondering what his reaction would be.
((ehh ok didnt add much...muse died compared to this morning. i should have written it down ergh lol))

Aiden laughed along with her while he tickled her, feeling only an incredibly small twinge of guilt--mostly he just thought it was funny. She could deal with it. He stopped pinching and poking at her sides only when she begged him to do so, partly because he feared she might be a bit too loud, and partly because of the aforementioned begging.
Aiden let her turn around but kept loosely hugging her at the waist. He grinned a bit when she kissed his cheeks, but then when she insisted that he had an unfair advantage, he had to retort--but how? He was reluctant to disclose his true feelings (especially since he wasn't all that sure about what they meant and such), but felt that some degree of confession had to come from him. He might not get her cooperation otherwise.
"Okay," he said, looking down at her eyes, fully aware of the moderate levels of apprehension and nerves he was eminating, "Maybe you can't tickle me, but can I just say...you're like a drug. And I am hopelessly addicted, since it's a high that's harder to resist than...well, I don't know. I've never actually done real drugs before, so I can't say what I'd compare it to."
On impulse, he bent over and lightly kissed the tip of her nose, then touched his forehead to hers. That way, she couldn't really avoid his gaze, and their lips were much closer than previously. "Come on," he pleaded in a whisper, "can I feel that high again?" After he said it, Aiden considered the fact that his phrasing was kind of awkward, and she might be angrier with him for referring to her presence like that, but he mentally shrugged it off. Too late to take it back now.

Lilly looked at him with a concerned expression. Why does he look nervous? she thought anxiously. He told her she was like a drug and that he was addicted. Now Lilly felt nervous. Did she really have that kind of effect on him? Or was he just saying it. She went to break the gaze when he suddenly kissed the tip of her nose and rested his forehead on hers.
Lilly closed her eyes, then opened them again slowly. She looked back at Aiden. "can I feel that high again?" She tried to smile at him as she raised her head, forcing him to retract his. She took a step back and walked away from him. "Aiden, it's not that I don't like you...really I do. It's just..."
Lilly turned back to face him and multiple emotions were clearly stated on her face. "Don't you think we're going a little fast? I mean, I only met you yesterday!" She dropped her gaze again and brought an hand to her head. She walked over to her bed again and sat down, burying her face in her palms. It wasn't that she didn't like Aiden, or didn't want to kiss him...Lilly had fears that she wasn't ready to deal with; things that Aiden could do to her if he left...she didn't want to get too attached too fast.
She didn't want to get hurt like before.
Lilly fought the tears that welled in her eyes. Now was most definetly not the right time to think about her parents. She couldn't compare Aiden to them. They didn't even come close. All Lilly knew was that she had to slow down with him, or else she may face the same pain that her parents caused her.

Aiden let her pull away, frowning slightly--not out of anger or other unsavory emotions, just because of thought. When she turned and looked at him so strangely, and said they were going too fast, he immediately felt guilty, and he could tell it was written all over his features. He reached up and ran a hand through his hair while she put her face in her hands, sighing heavily and grimacing.
She was right; he shouldn't be pushing it like this. Yeah, he liked her, he could admit that to himself--liked her quite a bit, actually--and she even said that she liked him, too. But she still had a point. Aiden had learned that most girls didn't like rushing into things a long time ago, before he'd even come close to being stuck on the island. He had a knack for getting caught up in the moment, and not thinking about the consequences of his actions. And he'd hurt more than one person making that type of mistake.
With a reluctant tone--reluctant because he didn't like admitting he was wrong--Aiden said to her, "You're right. I'm sorry...I..." He paused, considering how he should word this; after a moment he continued: "...had a few moments of bad judgement there. I do it a lot. One of many flaws..."
Aiden cut himself off there, not really knowing if he should spill his guts to her. He'd had enough experience to know that many girls would feel guilty about situations such as these without any intended encouragement from himself. He wanted so badly to spill his guts to her: to tell her how she was the first friend he'd made since he got stuck on this God-forsaken island; to admit that he wasn't strong at all, and the older vampires all picked on him, beating him up and frequently reminding him that he was worthless...
And she made him feel like his life might mean something. Like he wouldn't be cursed to be a monster for all of eternity.
But he said nothing.
Instead, Aiden turned away to hide the turmoil etched into his face, and walked to the bed hidden by a calm facsimile. He picked up Glass Books of the Dream Eaters and opened it up to the first page, staring at the words but not registering them. His senses were now marred by emotion and a swirling torrent of painful memories as he saw flashes in his mind's eye of his arrival to the island...of his turning...of lonesome and terrible times since then, one of which occurred only five days ago...

Lilly saw the guilty expression on his face. In a way, she was slightly relieved. At least he wasn't going to get mad at her. She let out a breath that she had unconsciously been holding and diverted her gaze once more. It was silent for a while, but then he spoke. She looked up at him when he apologized and managed a smile. She heard a slight air of reluctance in his voice but she figured that was natural.
"It's ok really. We just need to slow down. You know, get to know each other a little better...and not just physically," she added with a slight smile, hoping to get some sort of good reaction out of him. She didn't want to make him upset at her. That wasn't her intention. She looked at him with a puzzled expression that when he said it was one of many flaws.
"Come on, you can't have that many. I have my flaws too. It's what makes us...well ok I guess that statement wouldn't completely apply here. Um, it's what makes us, well, us. If it weren't for our flaws, we would be exactly the same as everyone else. That would just be boring."
Again she looked at him with a confused face. Something wasn't right. He had turned away from her now and was walking towards the bed. He had picked up one of her books and was now reading, though she could tell he wasn't processing. The look on his face, though partially hidden behind the book, didn't shield the evident turmoil.
She turned her body so that she was facing him. Lilly reached out her hand and placed it on top of the book, pulling it down gently to reveal Aiden's face. "Are you going to talk to me? One of my flaws is I bud in when people are upset about something. I always want to help them. I hate seeing people upset." She gave him a serious look and added, "And don't even think about telling me nothing. Then you would be lying."

((due to the fact that both our muses are straining, and Aiden's not liking the idea of spilling his guts, I'm just ending this thread))
Aiden dearly wanted to laugh; that was the best remedy for a bad mood, right? She'd even made a comment before that almost incited laughter from him--"You know, get to know each other a little better...and not just physically." But the fact that she'd soon after mentioned that the term "That's what makes us human" couldn't apply here, and he only wanted to sink deeper into his emotional hole.
"Are you going to talk to me?" He certainly didn't want to right then. Lilly couldn't know how weak he really was. Aiden looked up at her, and recognized stubborness. He had to deflect her question somehow, brush it off and make her leave it alone.
He forced a half-smile, then replied, "It's nothing you need to worry about. Just bad memories." There, he'd answered her; he didn't say nothing was wrong, but he didn't pour his heart out, either. She could use her imagination to think of what those memories might be; her train of thought would most likely lead to his turning. Good, he thought, if she thinks of that, then she won't pursue the subject further.
Aiden then had to make himself stop breathing, so that his angst wouldn't be so obvious. He rose from the bed, frowning at a sudden thought, and peeked out one of the windows. The sky was beginning to lighten in the East. Perfect, he thought, but not without some pain. He didn't really want to leave her presence, but he had a feeling it was the only way to truly escape further inquisition.
"I have to go," he said, with a degree of sadness in his tone--whether it was from aforementioned memories or the actual necessity of leaving, he wasn't sure. Aiden quickly moved closer to her and pulled her into a tender hug, unconsciously abstaining from kissing her this time. His mind was far away, so he didn't realize it until after he'd released her from his embrace, smiled down at her, and (for all intensive purposes) fled the village.
Running through the forest, he recognized a feeling blossoming in his stomach as nostalgia. But why?
