Manuelle continued to smile as they sat there together on the couch. He couldn’t tell the last time that he’d felt so happy. Razier had just agreed to date him. There was a part of him that still couldn’t believe he had even suggested it. Whether something came of it or not he was glad they’d be given a chance to try.
He accepted the arm around his waste and wrapped his own around her shoulders. Something about sitting this way with her just felt right and natural as if things between them would be okay. Even better than okay. Manuelle wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. If things didn’t work out it would be because it wasn’t meant to be and nothing more. He just hoped that didn’t happen.
Manuelle grabbed a few raspberries off of the tray and plopped them into his mouth. “So,” he said, cheery of course. “I wanna take you on a date…but I’m having a bit of a problem. I don’t have the first idea of where I can take you. And I feel stupid asking. I should have a plan or something.” Well sort of. It’s not like he’d thought that much about it before. Maybe once or twice, but it was just daydreaming. Now he really had the opportunity to take her out and he hadn’t the first clue of what to do.
There were so many things that he wanted to say to her, so many questions that he wanted to ask, but he didn’t want to overwhelm her. Making her feel uncomfortable would ruin everything. He just wanted to get know her and her him. Freaking her out by asking her a million questions would definitely not accomplish that. Besides, he didn’t know how much experience she had dating people. In fact, it seemed as if the only person she’d ever dated was Rhodes. He didn’t know if she’d even consider what she and Rhodes had together dating. Manuelle still had a lot to learn.
OoC: Crap. Sorry it’s late. I was out of town since Wednesday and I just came back today. Hope you're feeling better.

((not really feeling better, but eh. and it's ok. since i have been sick i haven't had too much muse anyway. It finally started coming back yesterday or so, but it's still not top notch so i'm sorry if this is terrible.))
She was dating Manuelle. Razier was trying to wrap her mind around it while Manuelle wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She sighed and settled into his embrace, leaning her head on his shoulder. When she realized she was ready to sit up, but they were dating so she could do that right? Sure it was a little soon for it ... but it felt so natural so was it wrong?
Manuelle said something about a date. She perked up and turned a bit to look at him. A date... she hadn't really been on a date before. Rhodes took her on a picnic once or twice in the Angel territory, but it was nothing special. At least not to her, but to him it probably meant a lot. She was tempted to sigh again, but held back. He'd probably think there was something wrong - that she didn't want to go out with him if she sighed too much.
"Pick somewhere you want to go. I've been everywhere so it doesn't really matter to me. Besides, dates are always better if you enjoy where you're going." She smiled lightly and found his hand to hold it. "And I'll be happy wherever we go as long as you're there. Ok?" She added in a whisper. She squeezed his hand and blushed a little. Was it normal to say stuff like that so quickly? Razier felt like she had been waiting her whole life to say it though - to say it to Manuelle. It just came out without a thought.
Natural.
Everything was so natural with Manuelle and Razier really liked it. She felt no pressure. She didn't even feel all that uncomfortable with her new boyfriend. Boyfriend... Razi couldn't help but smile rather brightly at that. "You can take me anywhere... Manny." She rested her head back on his shoulder while she smiled. She called him Manny. For the first time and it sounded right. It sounded like this whole time she had been forcing herself to say Manuelle instead and she finally got the go ahead to stop.
It felt good to just sit there and talk with him and it was really something beyond anything Razier had ever experienced before.
((and in reality I was really the one who was forcing herself to say Manuelle instead of Manny because every time I typed it i really wanted to say Manny but noo there was a point to not doing it!))

Manuelle sighed lightly when Razier called him Manny. It felt really good for her to finally call him that. It was almost as if a wall was broken down between with simple nicknames. He was no longer just her charge. She didn’t have to be so professional with him anymore. They could just be together naturally.
Somewhere he wanted to go? Well the only places Manuelle had been on the island were the hideout, the Center, Razier’s house, and now the temple…not to mention tose other places that he ended up hat he never should have been in in the first place. Manuelle wanted to take her somewhere nice but he had no idea where to take her. “I’m not so sure that it’s a great idea to leave it up to me. I mean, I don’t even know where to take you. I’ve never been anywhere. Are there restaurants here?” He’d love to take her somewhere that se could eat foods she’d never eaten before and just have a good time with him. Hopefully he’d think of something.
“So, how much more training do you have to do here?” He wanted it to sound like he was truly interested, but what he really wanted to know was how much time he’d have to spend with her. It was probably a bad idea for them to sneak around in the temple. There were too many disapproving eyes to catch them and that would only ruin something that had barely started.
OoC: Crapppp. I hate small talk but I figured that it’s too early to get them talking about things that are too serious.

Razier laughed as he said not to leave it up to him. He asked about restaurants too, but there weren't any that Razier hadn't been to. "There are two or three in the center, but they're part of taverns and inns. Are you sure there's no where you want to go? Have you been to the shore yet? It's pretty nice. And normally fairly safe."
When Manny asked how much more training she had to do she blushed a little. "Ha... uh... not too much more." Mainly because the whole reason she had been training was so she could get over her infatuation with her charge... and now she was dating him! Sort of made training pointless. If her mentor knew, what would he say? He seemed like he knew the truth behind her training and he seemed like he thought she was being silly. Maybe that was why she had agreed to give Manny a shot.
If her mentor thought she should just live with her feelings and Manny thought she should too... maybe things would be ok. So she was giving it a shot, but she wanted so much already. It wasn't fair. Was this because she had never really dated anyone? Because she was new to it all? Razier hated that initial curiousity and wonder that came with a new situation. And yet in this instance if she could just act on her whims she would absolutely love it.
"Do you want to go for a walk or something? I could show you a few secret passageways and such..." She said with a genuine smile. She stood up and grabbed his hand. "Come on, let's go..." She lead him out of the room and through the halls, careful to avoid the other temple attendants as much as possible. She finally found the room with the fireplace that veiled her favorite passageway.
She let go of Manny's hand to find the trigger and opened the back of wall if the fireplace. She grabbed manny's hand again and ducked a little as she walked through the opening with him to the marble hallway beyond. It was sunny in the hallway. Everything had a golden glow. She closed the dorrway behind them and smirked. She lead Manny down the hall and stopped at a staircase that lead up to even brighter light. She took him up there, glancing back at him every so often to smile the brightest smile she'd ever let him see yet.
At the top the staircase opened up into a marble room with a few old pieces of furniture and many windows that looked out over the mountains and island. Vines crept along the walls with white and blue flowers blossoming here and there along them. She sighed contently and dropped Manny's hand again to run to one of the windows and lean out it. The fresh air felt good as it whipped through her hair. She was like a little kid again in this room. Young, carefree... so happy.
"Isn't it great?" She asked, breathless from the excitement. She hummed lightly and turned around to face Manny with a grin.
((ack. crap. sorry.))

“Hmmm…” Manuelle said as he thought about it. A restaurant attached to a tavern or inn didn’t really give off the romantic vibe that he was looking for. But the shore, the shore sounded nice. Now that Razier was the one who threw the idea out there he’d have to add something to it to make it a little special. Suddenly, ideas for the perfect shore side date were starting to come to mind. All he had to do now was get a few resources. He had no idea where to get anything or who go to, but he would do whatever it took to create the perfect date for her.
“Yes,” he thought to himself. Not having to be alone while she trained was like icing on an already very good cake. So soon enough they would be able to be together away from this place. This place seemed bittersweet to him. It seemed to give Razier a sort of serenity but it also seemed to be the stem of her stresses. She mentioned a while ago that she trained all the time. That couldn’t be that healthy. Manny hoped to be able to distract hr from that so that she could find another way to find peace. ((*is wondering if this paragraph makes any sense…*))
“Ooh! A walk sounds nice.” Manuelle accepted her hand and followed her out of the room. He had no idea where he was going but that made it seem more fun, as if he were going on some sort of adventure. He too felt like a little kid again. The last time he did anything as ‘adventurous’ as this was when he went on hiking trips during summer camp at age 10. My, how times have changed…
Manuelle let his jaw hang a little as Razier opened the secret passage way. He never thought those things actually real. He had to bring himself back to reality in order to follow her through the hallway. This was a nice little hiding space in it self. As he followed her he noticed that she smiled at him every so often and it really warmed his heart to know that she was so happy with him. At least, he was assuming that was the reason why she was smiling. Cocky bastard.
He let his jaw hang a little as he entered the room at the top of the staircase. The place was beautiful. It sort of had this aged elegance to it. And the view, the view from the window was amazing. For a moment he was speechless. Manuelle followed her to the window and stood behind her, also enjoying the fresh air. “Yeah,” he said as he silently wondered how many people knew about this place. It seemed like the perfect place to come and be alone with her. “This place is perfect.” He smiled back at her as placed a small strand of hair behind her ear.
OoC: terrible ending….

Razier was a little startled as Manuelle put a piece of hair behind her ear, but a good startled. A pleasant tremor ran through her from head to toe as she looked up at his face and felt this urge to just lean in and kiss him. She didn't though. That would be rushing things, wouldn't it? She really didn't know... Razi sat down on the wide window ledge and leaned back against the side of said window.
It felt unbelievably nice to be in that room again. Made all the better by Manny's presence. As much as he had originally annoyed her... she enjoyed his company now. It was only his arrogance before and mostly her fault too. She was the one who wasn't exactly pleasant to be around. Until she was nearly dying she was a cold-hearted bitch. She was stand-off-ish and rude. She couldn't blame him for how he acted in return. Though she had reason to be cold and distant, it really wasn't a good reason.
They weren't the ones that killed her parents. Manuelle and Marielle were as much the victims in the situation as Razier and her parents were. Someone else predicted their powers and it was the way people chose to react to that prediction that caused the death of her parents. The siblings couldn't choose what powers they had or who their parents were. Razier was wrong to blame them for her parents' deaths. Besides, it was the choice of her parents to protect the elven family and the children.
Razier held Manuelle's hand again, staring at it, but really sort of through it. She rubbed her thumb over the back of it and sighed, her shoulder's dropping. "I'm really sorry for how I acted at first. I'm also really sorry that it took me nearly dying before I changed my attitude any. I... I blamed you and your sister for something that you two could never have helped. It's just... at heart I'm still just an abandoned little girl who never grew up. Lost in this big bad world where everyone tells her to take responsibility. To avenge her parents..."
"I'm told so many different things I couldn't even tell you who told me what anymore or what I was told to do first beyond grow up." Razier closed her eyes a moment and when she opened them looked back up at Manuelle. "I'm sorry, you probably don't want to hear any of this rather depressing stuff, huh?" She stood up and gently ran her free hand over his cheek briefly and then moved to right the antique couch which had been turned over - probably by a strong gust of wind. She talked too much sometimes. razi just got carried away. It had started as a simple apology and just escalated from there.

When he had first gotten to the island Manuelle would have died of laughter is someone had told him that he would be dating Razier. They didn’t get along at all and at the time he wasn’t interested in a thing she had to say. All he’d wanted was to go home. He blamed her, just as she blamed him, for his kidnapping and being brought to the island. Countless times she had tried to explain to him that sh was trying to protect him, but he didn’t listen. And even when they began their training he insisted on being difficult to work with. Now he wanted to be around her all the time, even if that meant having her beat the crap out of him.
Manuelle still didn’t quite understand why he was even on the island. The different races on the island were supposedly at some war over him and his sister. They were supposed to be very powerful but he had yet to see any of these powers. And the woman claiming to be his mother, well he hadn’t seen her since he told her off. Lately, all of these things have been buried in the back of his mind. He had totally forgotten the reason he was on the island in the first place. It was all starting to seem as if he was supposed to be there with Razier.
“Don’t be sorry for anything. If anyone should be sorry it should be me. I was a complete asshole to you and I was just making your life miserable. You can’t help but be upset about everything that has happened to you. I should have been more understanding. I’m not going to tell you that I know how you feel because I don’t. What I do know is that if you ever want to talk about this stuff that I’m here to listen. Don’t ever feel like you can’t come to me about something.” To Manny, aside from love of course, trust, honesty, and communication were what made a great relationship. He’d always thought he’d had those things with Raquel. It wasn’t until now that he realized that they were missing communication from the get-go. He’d been so naïve.
“No. I want this to be t he kind of things that we talk about. No matter how depressing or stupid or whatever it may seem at the time. Just come to me,” he said as he moved to help her with the couch. It was the fact that he felt so comfortable talking to Razi that drew her to him in the first place. It was after their first real conversation that made him see her a bit differently. He’d never been able to talk to Raquel like that. In fact, they’d never really done much talking at all the entire time they’d been together. It was nice to have a change. To have someone that he knew he could go to about anything.

As Manuelle came over and she listened to him say that he was the one who should be sorry she sighed and shook her head. He had every right to be angry. He had been taken from everything he had known without warning. How was that fair or any less of a reason to be angry than the loss of one's parents before they really knew them? It wasn't. It was even more of a reason really. Afterall - Razier hadn't known her parents. There really should have been nothing to miss.
Razier moved over to Manuelle and stood before him a minute before wrapping her arms around his torso and hugging him. She rested her cheek to his chest with a soft sigh. "Ok." She said to his comment about how this is what he wanted to talk to her about. That she could talk to him about anything. She did like talking to him. She felt comfortable talking to him about everything. She moved away and sat on the righted couch.
"Dont' you sort of know how I feel though? You were taken away from your parents too. Or at least the people you thought were your parents. You were angry about that too. You miss them I'm sure." Razier frowned. "I really wish I could help you get back to them, but I can't. I don't know how. The only people who do are the people who won't let you go until they're finished with you." She felt terrible about it. Manuelle has to be so miserable away from his friends and family.
And Marielle. She was still missing. Razier's stomach clenched. "We need to find Marielle as soon as we go back. I can't believe I haven't done so yet, but... Shit." Razier was suddenly really worried. What was she thinking not going to look for her? She was such an idiot! What if Marielle had been kidnapped out injured? Well... no if she had been injured or killed or something Razier would have felt it, but kidnapped she wouldn't have. "I'm such an idiot! We should go now..." She was fretting by this point. She really needed to calm down as she stood up and paced a moment and then walked to the window, then came back.
'Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.'

As Manuelle moved to sit next to Razier on the couch he thought about what she said. He’d never really thought about it that way. Ever since he’d been on the island he’d been angry at his adoptive parents for lying to him and letting him be taken. The had to be in on this. “I dunno, Razi. I mean, they’ve been lying to me my whole life. I can’t help but be angry with them, but I guess I miss them. I can’t deny that they loved me.” His parents had been so proud of all of his accomplishments and they always supported everything that he did. It wasn’t until now that he felt badly about being angry with them. They probably missed him so much. If only he had a way to contact them and let them know that he was okay.
As much as he missed his home, family, and friends he really didn’t want to think about going home just yet. Things on the island were just starting to pick up for him and going home right now would be kind of sad. He didn’t know how much time he had left with Razier, but he wanted to make the most of every second. “Listen, don’t worry about trying to get me back home. I’m sure that will work itself out. All you should do is worry about spending enough time with me.”
Manuelle saw the panic in Razier’s face as she mentioned Marielle. As bad as it sounded, he hadn’t really thought about his sister that much. Back home they never really hung out with each other. The only time they ever saw each other really was at home and maybe a couple times throughout the day at school. “hey, calm down,” he said in a comforting voice. “I’m sure she’s fine. We’ll find her. And you’re not an idiot. I mean, I’m her brother, her flesh and blood, and I didn’t even think about finding her.” He stood next to her at the window and squeezed her hand, letting her know that everything would be okay…hopefully.

Manuelle said not to worry about getting him home. If she hadn't been so worried about Marielle suddenly she might have smirked. He was getting used to the island and didn't mind it as much - that was good. However, her panic took over any other thoughts until Manuelle held her hand and told her to calm down. She turned back to him with a heavy sigh and held on to his hand gently, but still as if to let go would throw her whole world into disarray. She bit her lip and took a few deep breaths to calm down. He was right. She was probably fine. Razier would have felt it otherwise. If she had been kidnapped at least she was ok and kidnapped... as ok as she could be for being kidnapped that is. And who was to say she was kidnapped? Maybe she had been lucky and somehow evaded capture. Maybe she had been smart and stayed out of the open. Maybe the people she met were as stupid and dense as the demon who hadn't realized who Manuelle was. There were a lot of different things that could be possible. She shouldn't throw herself into a fit over this. Marielle had to be ok. She had to be. No one would hurt her especially if they knew who she was. She would be too important of an asset. They couldn't risk hurting her or killing her. She would be useless then. Not that she wasn't pretty useless already. No offense to Marielle. It was just that the only power she had available to her currently was healing. That wouldn't do much for the enemy. "Yeah... she'll be fine..." She mumbled, still breathing deeply and clasping Manny's hand for support. It was funny how quickly feelings could get turned around. It seemed like they went from hating to tolerating to liking eachother in the course of a day. Was that really normal? Was it natural? Razier really didn't care right now. She felt comfort from Manny's presence and happiness. She wouldn't ask for it to be any other way. ((sorry sort of crap. I... ugh i don't know. I'm having issues today. >.<; )

It gave Manuelle great comfort to know that he could calm Razier down a little bit. Having her feel a little better about the situation made him feel more at ease. However, in the back of his mind was a little bit of fear that his sister might be hurt. He hadn’t seen her in fats and he had no idea what the various islanders were capable of. He’d only gotten a taste of it. Manuelle made a silent prayer for her safety. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if something were to happen to her when he hadn’t thought about her all this time. They might not have been the best friends, but she was still his sister.
“Hey, you okay now?” he asked as he held Razi’s hand tightly. “We can still go look for her now if you want to.” It was probably a terrible thing, but he was torn between looking for his sister and staying here with Razier so that they could have more alone time together. “I’m sure she’s fine. If anything, she would’ve grabbed a plant to talk to.” He chuckled to himself. He still couldn’t believe that actually worked.
Manny rubbed her back to relax her a bit more. His mom used to do it for him when he used to get upset. He silently wondered about Razi’s parents and what the might’ve been like. The must’ve been some strong, dedicated, amazing people because Razier was all of that and a bag of chips. He’d always thought that his traits were passed down from who he’d thought to be his birth parents. If Arinada was really his mother she must not have been that bad. Manny was an amazing person after all.

Razier nodded when Manuelle asked if she was ok now. "Yeah... I'm... I'm ok." And once he started rubbing her back she was better. She leaned into him and sighed. What he was saying made sense. She was the first one to use that trick of the two of them and she knew it worked. Surely she would know to use it again and there were plants everywhere. If she needed Razier she'd call.
The guardian was considering going to look for her right then and there too though. Of course her other more selfish half wanted to just stay with Manuelle and relax. She had a job to do and she promised herself this relationship wouldn't get in the way of that. Not ever. Which meant not now either.
"I'm sorry, Manuelle. I do want to stay here and all, but... it's my job to go find her. I have to." She said, pulling away from him and looking him in the eyes briefly. She then kissed his cheek boldly and gave his hand one last squeeze. "If you want to come with me, you can, but if not the way back is just the way we came in. There's a handle on this side of the fireplace back." She said as she walked to the window - hesitant to leave. She smiled at Manuelle. "I'll find her."
She sounded a lot more confident than she felt.

Manuelle know that Razier would choose to go look for Marielle. It was the right thing to do. He suddenly felt terrible and stupid for even considering staying there for a little while longer. His sister could be in danger. He was quickly and easily forgetting that Razier was still his guardian. She did indeed have a job to do. As much as he wanted to now, Manny and Razi could be alone together some other time.
“I want to come,” he said as he took her hand in hers again. “This place isn’t as fun without you in it. Besides, I might be able to help.” He also didn’t want to get lost on his way back, but he’d keep that one to himself. “How exactly are we going to find her? I mean, she could be anywhere?” Manuelle was sure that the island was a lot bigger than it seemed. There were plenty of places that he hadn’t been and Marielle could be at any one of them.
Manny stopped for a moment to look at her. “Listen, I don’t ever want to jeopardize your work so if I ever get in the way don’t hesitate to slap me or tell me I’m being stupid, okay?” What she did was very important and he didn’t want to be the reason that something went wrong. “And I don’t want you to get into any kind of trouble.” This time he kissed her on the cheek.

Razier stopped as Manuelle took her hand and said he wanted to come. She nodded. He then asked how they'd find her. "Well, we should probably first go back to the hideout and see if she returned or left a note... or something. Then if she didn't we'll start with the beach and work inward. Marielle seems like a girl who likes the beach." Razier explained about her starting choice.
She was taken aback as he started talking about how he never wanted to jeopardize her work or anything. He also mentioned how he didn't want her getting hurt. "Manny, it's ok. I won't let you. No worries." She laughed, but stopped short as he kissed her cheek. She blushed bright red and her smile got much brighter. She was quiet a moment and then leaned in and kissed his cheek lightly in a flash. "Ok then, come on."
Razi looked out the window and then she let go of Manny's hand before she moved out, jumping the few feet down to the ground. She waited for Manuelle to follow. She put her hand to her cheek where he had kissed her cheek and felt her skin tingle. It was so unexpected, but... welcome. She didn't mind in the least and it was so different from when Rhodes kissed her cheek or hand. It certainly never made her genuine beam like Manny's kiss had.
Once Manuelle was beside her she grabbed his hand and started jogging down the mountain side, using a path she had worn in her youth. There wasn't too much time to lose and running made her distracted. She nearly forgot her urge to kiss Manuelle full on when she was running, so that was why she was. She knew if she did kiss him she would probably never pull away and she had things to do. So down the mountain she went with him and toward the hideout.
((ehhh mine was worse. I think we should skip right to the shore and pretend she found the letter and all...))
